I wish I had been here last night when the discussion re. FrontRowGate started. I could have told you straightaway what had happened because the same thing happened in Japan -
(and with the same people from what I can gather).Last week I think bamafan and Pattihum were discussing that 'honey' was not always a term of endearment from Adam and I added that I would add ' bitch' to that list but didn't want to expand on the story. Well the simple story is that there is a specific handful of women who travel from show to show, country to country and always stand in the front row, right in the middle.This is a military campaign with no prisoners. They have had literally dozens of M&Gs. They know where he will be 'later'.They have almost NEVER seen a show from anywhere else and seem to believe he wants them right there - and then they film up his nose almost! I think their filming really gets to him because he has no idea why they would do that over and over. One night he couldn't hide his irritation and burst out with something like 'really, bitch....every show....right there....and filming'...It was over in a flash and he tried to then make a joke of it but....no. So many others were filming but he was ok with them. Just like on yesterday's video.... Anyway - these ladies were back again the next night....and the next....and are there tonight, I believe.... SO - ...IMHO....Adam is not 'attacking' general front rowness or anyone here on Atop and no way is he saying that people shouldn't do multiple shows His comments were aimed very specifically and was just asking for a little consideration and common sense from those who have dominated his every concert experience....because yes, it is his concert as well as theirs. , thanks for your post. I think it confirms what many of us have been feeling. Sometimes it's just too much. Very early in Adam's career he tried to enlightened us with the term "entitlement is not sexy". Looks like the threshold varies within our fandom that separates reasonable fan behavior from over-the-top entitlement. Looks like most people get it right though  |
