OT but pertaining to the description of "violence" at the concerts. Turns out that there are two variants of the meaning of the word. (Well, at least 2, could be more) Both definitions include the concept of using physical force and causing damage but one goes further to specify "with the intent to cause harm," while the other says an action can be violent whether there was intent behind it or not. In this case, people pushing to try to move forward eventually caused injury to others. However, it was not the intent of members of the audience to hurt anyone. Just wanting to get closer. So, depending on your personal semantic dictionary, that could be considered "violent" or not.

Yeah mireille is fine. Did notice some 'fighting' going on beside her but wasn't effected by that. It seems to be that it wasn't widespread and pretty isolated around the UK fans in question. Not nice for them, but luckily not affecting a lot of people.

So the annaul ear insult festival of frustration that is The Voice Oz has started again. And for reasons beyond understanding they have signed up Ronan Keating (Irish pop star) to replace Ricky Martin on judging panel. Which basically means that yet again we have two girls who can sing (Jessie J and Delta Goodrem) and two sets of male judges who'd be lucky to carry a tune in a bucket - well ok Ronan isn't that bad but his voice has a kind of strained unsupported quality that I have particularly come to hate (thanks Adam). And all this just makes me wonder why no producer on one of these shows has taken a look around and said - wow there is this amazing singer called Adam who is also easy on the eyes and charming why don't we grab him as a judge... Oh well. Looking forward to your coverage of the show again this year, bridgeymah! IMO, your astute commentary would make you a worthy candidate for the judging panel as well!
