Adam Lambert live in Vienna: revival of Pop translation: It was a sad year to date for music lovers: Only Lemmy, then Bowie and recently even Prince - occurs a great hero of Pop from after another. The Süddeutsche Zeitung was so desperate that they even the "year, in the music died" wrote. That Britney should throw a new album on the market in the next few weeks, also helps not really there. . Yesterday Thursday, 05/02, but we have hope again drawn into the world of music, in the Popzirkus, in legends - or at least we think again that there are artists who have the potential to become legends. Because last night honored pop chameleon Adam Lambert Wiener Gasometer concert hall - and proved impressively that (pop) music is more alive than ever. But not only that: He took with boundless energy, psychedelic light shows, bombastic video walls and an impressive vocal acrobatics, but especially with a lot of ease, eroticism and a lot of fun, the Pop to its origins back: namely to everything / all unifying ease feet and heart equally brings to hopping. Teething problems Meanwhile, were the sign before the concert not so good that the evening would be a success: Although already the mood in the crowd formed hours before doors a large crowd in front of the location, scrum, Geschupse and poorly organized organizer could but soon a minimum sink. Nevertheless, one could see in more detail in order, you could already guess what should be expected for a pop event had an hours later: In the packed crowd to Lambert-look-a-likes were just like screaming teen girls, gray mice, older couples or gay and lesbian couples. An openly gay artist who knows how to inspire in all social classes and - as Lambert the evening itself will later say - beyond sexual orientation, gender, age or nationality (many fans had traveled from abroad!) United. The numerous female teens (the part before the entrance were waiting to noon on intake!) Despite offensively lived homosexuality to fainting and circle Chat Tacken enraptures - and the numerous on stage stuffed animals, love animals and bras flying (!). "Guuuurl, did you pay attention to the whole show ?!" said Lambert turns amused and emphasizes kinked wrist and sexy hip movements to the BH-thrower. "I love dick!" What the audience - and now Bra loose lady - even more brings to screech. The last one has ... well, actually in Bowie, Prince or Freddie Mercury (as the official successor to Lambert may designate quiet thanks to his Queens-intermezzo) seen. Pop lives. Until it is so far, Lambert is slow in coming nearly two hours. A DJ who rather acts like a sleeping pill on stage and carelessly absurd Partyhits throws at the restless expectant audience shortened for approximately 30 minutes, the waiting time (or should it at least do), which does not make the atmosphere but better. For - to some extent confusing - Amusement Lambert hits, which are interspersed repeatedly in the music systems provide. In the first two times even amusing, one wondered at the latest during the third Lambert song if the Good consumes its tracklist already before the concert even starts. Worries unfounded: Since there were many hits come this evening. And to use his own songs before their own concert by the organizer, which also brings only someone cope with the certain attitude. Dance-rock instead Glamrock And Attitude having Adam Lambert. He proves from the very first second when he "in the Night Evil" starts with the electro-pop hit. His outfit of futuristic sunglasses, leather pants, metallic gloves, platform boots and the numerous tattoos that adorn his muscular arms, already give an idea: Since someone is standing on the stage, playing all Stückerl of Entertainment. The has fun on stage and with impressive ease won the audience from the first note to the touch. This yells, rages, applauding, clapping and jumping from the outset, Lambert adores when he was actually reborn Mercury (or Bowie. Or Prince. The selection is unfortunately large). A connection between the singer and his audience is established immediately - even though he directed the first personal words to his fans after the half of the concert. The but with so much charm, wit irony and self-confidence that one forgives him quickly. Also, because he in love with us out flirting and all of us find very sexy. Lambert knows what the human soul desires. lambert presents himself male much more than in previous years, during the show. Someone finally seems to have arrived at is: Glam Rock is the dance-rock (if there is something) faded. Yes, even his biggest hit "What do you want from me," he sings deeper than the original a few pitches in "After Hours" he gives himself emphasized lascivious easy, without being overdone. Since experience has rubbed with Queen well - or Lambert's how the saying goes, just grown up. This boy has matured in recent years for man, has evolved from a talent show participants the Queen frontman and acclaimed pop star. Lambert has to exceed stage presence, courage, boundaries - and a lot of sex. Every single note, every single move is pure eroticism - which Lambert also know and use to make: Several times that night he grabs his crotch, can lascivious hips circling and licking provocative lips. It is a mix of Lady Gaga and - sorry, again - Freddie Mercury, which Lambert presented here with a lot of self-confidence. His performance is a mixture of (Boyband-) choreography (support he is assisted by two very extrovierten dancers) and spontaneity - because we'll meet by its other concerts of "The Original High" tour on, notice that the show not always exactly the same, the songs are different sung, yes even change the costumes ever. Apropos: Thrice changes Lambert during the show his outfit. He stands by his female colleagues about anything. vocal acrobat The sound spectrum is just as broad as Lamberts vocal range: from dance, pop, rock, disco and ballads throws Lambert everything out what he has to offer (many medleys give the impression of wanting to be beaten as many songs). It seems a thousand voices to carry with them, which he rightly considered how it suits him. Clear: He never will his musical beginnings go when "In The Night Evil" singing or offensively so eerie rock scenarios like "Welcome To The Show" out fires. Vocally Lambert is on to the last tone top, spotless it appears in each his pitches and sometimes blares going on when there's no tomorrow. Pity that, especially in its electric-oriented songs his voice always comes into play, as they deserved. The sometimes problematic acoustics of the gasometer not helped as well. Mix of close and aloofness At the end of the night, you can actually feel to have witnessed a revival of Pop - and not in the form of a squeaky-hilarious Wonderland à la Katy Perry, but an adult pop firmament which are the hall in a sometimes bleak Party Club transformed. Quite contrary to the stage to Lambert gave shy before the event: No interviews, no public appearances. The only exception: The @ tipp3 Walk of Stars Mini appearance, also at the Gasometer, two hours before the concert. Again, he was slow in coming. For autographs and selfies he takes only a short time before (three in a row, what the press present wrests a smug smile) is taken by the hand and led away by his bodyguards. But what one can say in a few minutes: Adam Lambert radiates star power, which is perhaps the greatest as the artist himself who exactly makes up but the fascination of the singer. A mix of proximity and detachment. Coupled with very much eroticism. Freddie Mercury would have been proud. And David Bowie and Prince were also determined. This one actually sounds kind of positive in parts and praises Adam, yet it is pretty critical in other regards.. Adam's voice is always praised, of course. But there's a kind of off-set with the show and songs. Hard to interpret. Interesting take on Adam's photo op with his hands and feet in the clay. Makes him sounds kind of snooty and diva-ish but then tells about how nice and accommodating he was. Anybody else have their theories?? It seems that some of these reviewers are expecting something very different from what Adam's show really is. And some come to the show with a pre-conceived attitude and opinion about Adam in general. All I know is that the audiences all seem to LOVE him!

It says that he has finally seen somebody who has it in him to be the stuff of legends like so many that have passed away this year. I actually checked a couple of times whether this was a Glambert review, because it was so complimentary. Not many followers either, this one, but he LOVED Adam!

I read the German and it's actually very positive in the most parts. Just a few critical notes here and there, but I do think that didn't spoil the review. Expectations are very hard to ignore when you are seeing something. We all have a bias when we look at things. Based on our experiences, our values, our religion etc. This makes it very hard to make a really objective clean review. That's also why it's so nice to sometimes read multiple recaps of the same show. We all see, hear and experience things differently.

Hi guys! How our dear, old forum is going? I'm here (again!) to say that I was on my first solo Adam concert and it was great! So great in fact that I think now it was way better than Queen concerts (probably I will thnik that way until another Queen concert LOL). I'm crazy happy even now, 3 days after Torwar. Adam was funny, sexy, stupid, geniue, smart, beautiful, agile, happy, confusing, fragile, strong - only few associations I have in mind when I think about that night. But we already know that he can be all those things and many more. Show was fawless: I love that Adam can do rock, pop and dance, all in one glorious mix. All with that VOICE of his. Who needs superheroes when you have Adam Lambert? Poland love him and we want him back! Now! I think we proved it beyond any doubt! (in fact I sill have problems with my voice, I've never sang and yelled so loud at a concert in my life!). Oh and I love his band, they are so nice surprize! Terrence and Holly were great! I swear that Holly's hair are all dancers on their own LOL. I was surprised how diverse the crowd was. There was a lot young people, but also many people in their 40's, 50's, 60's, men and women alike. And children! I sat with two boys 6 and 7 years old - big fans! And one more thing - there wasn't any booing when Adam mentioned old fans, it's total BS. Yes, floor was packed and like in any crowd there was problems, but booing is made up. I see I have a lot of messages, probably year old, I didn't saw them when I was here last time (maybe some error), so I will try reply on them now so don't be surprized LOL 5 years of this madness, and I know that this will never end. Never. Fantastic, so glad you had a great night! Thanks for giving us your recap...
