Is this the album version? I am pretty sure it is. Thanks Wal. I'll just have to keep waiting for the DVD to get the live version of Sleepwalker. Only 1 more month to go!

Q3, when I mentioned "backlash" in my previous post, I was not referring to any backlash from the record labels. I was talking about the fan-warring type of backlash. I don't worry about Adam. Adam will take care of himself and as you stated he has a lot of options. Just as we saw last year when is was the Grammy fashion correspondent, he will put himself out there and make opportunities for himself. For now chapter 2 is establishing himself as a relevant recording artist. I am looking forward to seeing where he takes us on his continuing musical journey. I understood but my experience is that when labels drop artists -- even formerly very popular artists from Idol like Clay -- there is no backlash to the Idol alums that remain signed. The more casual fans have already moved on, the small core of die-hard fans remain. Being on Idol and more so winning Idol gets an artist a lot of fans fast, but they often leave just as fast as they came. There was no backlash against Daughtry when Taylor was dropped and there is no backlash against Cook today, the day after Archie was dropped. Archie has a committed core of fans -- look at what they do in the polls. The only backlash going on now is to Jive -- and it is unwarranted. Archie was dropped because this is a business that can only afford to invest in artists who have the potential to sell music and make money. If they are not going to invest in a new album, the best thing is to be dropped so you can move on.

Thinking about Adam, his second album, success, acceptance ,longevity.I think maybe we all angst a bit too much over Adam's career. He seems to have a plan and it's working. I'm sure selling a great many cds will help Adam get to where he wants to go, but it's not the end all. What he has expressed over and over again about idol was his desire to get to a wide audience and get known. He said pretty clearly that he was looking to be able to stay in the entertainment industry,to be able to make his living as an artist. He is following that plan and is doing it perfectly. He wants to branch out ,into movies, live performances,etc.. all part of his long term goals.Selling Cds is another way ,like idol, to get known here and internationally. I think the recording industry is step two of Adam's plan ,but not the ultimate step. I believe that there is a step three and step four..The recording industry and the music business is changing drastically and how recording stars will earn money in the future is still unknown. Adam is in the middle of this change and in the middle of the gay rights movement for equality. I think this is an amazing time for an artist like Adam,he seems to be in the right place at the right time. I think with his talent and his smarts he will be able to bridge this gap, for change brings new ideas and great creativity. I ,like Q3, Have faith that Adam will have the career of his choice, will do it all and will be influential as well. Will you marry me????????????????? I love this common sense, real world view. Adam will be fine, more than fine, he will be successful and, I hope, content and happy. I know this is last night's thread, don't care
