I hope some wacky, dancy silliness remains. Because I love that side of Adam. #doesthismakemeentitled? I love soft, vulnerable Broken Open Adam, and angsty Soaked Adam, and I love fierce Sleepwalker Adam and sexy Fever Adam, and just about any incantation of Adam out there, but it is the silly, campy, OTT Strut Adam who can laugh at himself which reminds me that this journey is about the the joy that is Adam. I seriously hope he never stops sharing that side of himself with us. Let's not forget just how easily Adan gets bored. I remember reading a negative comment about FYE on UK Amazon that said "I mean, 18 tracks should tell you something!" It made me want to say (I know, I should have :-[) "You don't know what you're talking about. He has to work with this album for the next two years and he's giving himself plenty of material to choose from". We all know he can make them all sound fresh each time but he needs the variety to keep himself happy. Can you imagine him doing a tour based completely on angst :-/. He'd blow a gasket somewhere along the line; and I don't think relying on IIHY and Strut would be quite enough  . JMO YMMV <<<<< ??? ??? ETA: based on his 'reallness' and 'where my life is now', just how much joy has he with Sauli ;D |

One last comment about DC and no more from me because this is Adam's thread ;D
I read that the album is a reflection of his journey since Idol. I can see where this album would be more "serious" in its emotional tone. He had the weight of being the Idol winner, completely crazy schedule (like Adam) and also the death of his brother after a long battle with brain cancer.
Adam's already said that he plans to be emotionally "honest" on the next album. While I don't think it will be an album full of emotional angst I think there is going to be some pretty intense songs. That being said, Adam's positive, outgoing personality is going to be reflected as well. Plus he's in love ;D
