It wasn't easy, but I finally found a way to vote for the CM award. Opened & closed windows; waited for emails; golly, it was a little crazy. We'll see what happens! Rewatched the video - it is a performance truly worthy of note and the accolades it's receiving! Back to real life. I'm gonna try making 'Mowbray Pork Pies' this week; we'll see what happens. Food adventurers, let me know if you try it! I love how I learn about new things in my life through this site. But it's been a month since I've travelled to see AFL. Getting antsy. The other thing - I'm a frequent Macy's shopper - with the credit card to prove it!! But, no catalogue!! Rats!! I made a Macy's run this afternoon and scored 2 of them. They also had a large pic of Adam in the red jacket. I asked what they do with them when the campaign is over, they weren't sure, but took my name and phone number and said they would call me if I can have it LOL!!! I know the saleswoman thought I as a crazy lady!!! If you would like my extra catalog let me know and I can mail it to you. lulu, If your extra copy of the Macy's catalog is still available, I would love a copy! No stores where I live.

We laugh about Adam's poor sense of time and his well known tendency to be late. But, it seems Lauryn Hill has perfected the art form of late appearances. She was two hours late for her recent Atlanta concert, and had to stop after only 45 minutes because of the venue curfew. As an "apology" she wrote:
I don't show up late to shows because I don't care. And I have nothing but Love and respect for my fans. The challenge is aligning my energy with the time, taking something that isn't easily classified or contained, and trying to make it available for others. I don't have an on/off switch. I am at my best when I am open, rested, sensitive and liberated to express myself as truthfully as possible. For every performance that I've arrived to late, there have been countless others where I've performed in excess of two hours, beyond what I am contracted to do, pouring everything out on the stage. Because I care so deeply about the artistic process, I scrutinize, have perfectionist tendencies, and want space made for spontaneity, which is not an easy process, with the many moving parts on the road. Some days we are more successful than others re time. However, the vitality that is infused into the performances is always appreciated by the audiences, who may not know exactly what it took to accomplish. What hasn't been touched upon by the media, I'm sure, are the hundreds of people who rushed the stage and stayed in excess of an hour after the show ended last night, just to connect. Our challenge is to figure out the best way to accommodate the vitality, spontaneity, and spirit that make the performances worthwhile and special to begin with, while also making that experience available and accessible to others. If I didn't Love and respect the art, I wouldn't be doing this.
What a load of self-indulgent bovine excrement. IMHO

In addition to the Girl Crush audience video posted a few pages back, here's another from a girl's Instagram - I bookmarked this bc that one girl's Praise Jesus hands at Adam's riffing is perfect: http://instagr.am/p/-0HU1bnwq5 Also, love how Leona gets a big smile on her face during Adam's riff & then goes back into serious business singer mode

You've got to be kidding. All this "caring so deeply about the artistic process" is such BS. It's just rude. People pay their money. They deserve a show. It's not uncommon for singers to be somewhat late, a half hour or so. Actually, I think it's part of the "anticipation strategy" that gets the crowd kind of amped up. But two hours is inexcusable. This Lauryn person (I have to admit, I don't know who she is) says she is "aligning my energy with the time" blah, blah blah. It may be "artistic" but it's also a business. You get paid, you do the job. If she cares as deeply as she says does, she wouldn't be THAT late.

Congrats to Adam and Leona!! They could win this!!! Nothing like the Glambert voting machine to get things done. ![](http://i770.photobucket.com/albums/xx348/Quu3/Adam%20Smilys/adamthumbsup.gif) Of course, I've been watching 'Girl Crush' again for..a long time..lol..it is at least a 20 watch vid for me. Thanks for posting the audience vid too, Nic42 There is another one where you see a woman bowing as Adam riffs. Took that song to church and out into the stratosphere, he did. Seen some posts about the post-tour blahs. Made me think. Once one starts a certain momentum, I do believe the brain clicks into 'go mode'..it is what the body knows, all those endorphins and adrenaline. Coming down from that? In my day, I was working crazy hours in a profession I loved. I was consumed by it. When I finally had time off, after two days, I was like a crazed beast. Couldn't wait to get back on the gerbil wheel and have the 'feels' again. I'm not saying Adam is going through this but he did speak about his dark time after GNT. I wonder if he CAN rest anymore. I hope he enjoys that new pool of his after QAL. Bridgey..watched Alison on The Voice..what I liked about her performance was that Hot Mama really let loose. She rocked 'Cryin' IMO. Not going to critique it vocally, but it made me happy to see her go all out. She looked absolutely elated. I was up on ma feet too. Lastly, I had no idea Randy Travis had a stroke. The man has had a few hellish years. He never insulted Adam..Randy just didn't get him, but neither did the judges on ROF. Maybe we could cut him some slack? It has been 7 years. Super to see Adam with Charl Brown in London. Friends are the best always and Adam has loyal friends. Late night catching up post.
