Nice article, Susie. Takes me way back. I was an AI innocent and had never followed any of the internet blogs until AI was over and I was going into Adam withdrawal. What a shock to find out that there were a ton of people arguing and fighting over the contestants, and so many people felt like I did when NAL won!!! I can't believe that I missed so much! MJs was the first blog I ever posted on. A bit scary at the time, but so fun. Wow! Have I changed since then. Never read this follow up post to the original written about Adam during the AI competition. Sorta a walk down memory lane. Thanks for posting. That article was new for me. Even though this article was written in May 2009, I think this part is still true. A lot of this is the hyperbole that happens when any exciting new talent appears. We will have to wait until he makes his own kind of music to see whether or not he's truly a great addition to the music industry. He still has that to prove, and it's a lot. But he has already proven that he's a great entertainer. Ethel Merman never wrote her own material, either. IMO, Adam #2 will be the first album where Adam gets to make his own kind of music. FYE was a good album. Adam got to do his interpretation of other artist and producers. However, as Adam has said, Adam #2 is going to be the album he has always wanted to make. I trust that it is good music and that it will be a great addition to the music industry.

Here's the follow-up article, where he delves into the socio-political stuff that we've all discussed at great length, but I never saw this (I don't think) and so amazing to read someone so candid about his perception of Adam's talent: Conservatives are all still stinging from their defeat at the polls in November. They wanted something to take home. They couldn't possibly let a guy who wears eyeliner and nail polish win, no matter how astoundingly talented he is.
It is to Lambert's credit and astounding talent that he got this far, and the media sensation he has created ensures him a very exciting post-Idol career. He's a phenomenon who has earned every bit of ink he has created. He made 'Idol" relevant again. His outrageous performances woke up a sleeping audience. www.huffingtonpost.com/jim-david/adam-lambert-loses-homoph_b_206154.html

Words don't say enough. I think you know what I mean. Lifeguard, You and Adam and Surreal. Yep, that's about it.

Thanks Susiefierce for posting those. I had never seen them either. One thing jumped out at me because it has been my secret fantasy for a while. His version of "Feeling Good" proved he should sing the next James Bond theme. I actually bought a Bonds greaest hits from the 60s-80s and Adam would totally fit in that club. Soaked would have been great. Adam even described it as Shirley Bassey meets...someone else. :-/ A couple days ago any lingering hopes were dashed when I read that Daniel Craig was practically begging The Kings of Leon for the song. But they are being too cool for school about the whole thing. I'm sorry, but if someone asks you to write the Bond theme song you say yes thank you very much. Everything I read about these guys makes me not like them. Sounds like Gaga is in the running too though.... Oh well, maybe next time. music.aol.co.uk/2011/06/23/kings-of-leon-james-bond-song-daniel-craig/

So jealous of where you spend your day @work........is this close? Close enough. I love my life. I love your life too.. I've spent a couple of weeks at Tybee Island for the last two years.. My family love the island, great beaches, cute town and so near Savannah. Lucky you. We used to live on sleepy Anna Maria Island on the West Coast of florida ,so now Tybee is becoming our beach away from home & the mountains of NC. One of my daughters lived in Miami, not far from South Beach,Now that's a hot town.

Ha, ha! Lifeguard... "Sexy is sexy!" so don't be too hard on your teeny bopper admirers! And, yes, you should definitely move to LA. Although, I don't think Adam spends too much time at the beach. But you'd get to meet a whole bunch of So. California Adam fans! ;D (And possibly be Susie's new roommate!)
