Someone needing confirmation from Shosh again that the press coverage was also in the US....

So on the horizon we've got: -more QAL dates this fall -Rocky Horror in October -AU X Factor judge -4th album era reuniting Adam w Max Martin & Shellback Am I missing anything? And we know there's always stuff in the works that we don't know about until they're ready to reveal. I think we're doing alright in Adam Land.  I love this summary. And the last sentence.   |

Adam is going to have a great year --
Doing another album with Max Martin and Shellback is huge. Huge. My guess is that we get it late Spring 2017.
Adam is also finally getting to do something he clearly wanted to do, be a singing competition judge/coach.
He gets to return to Asia with Queen -- and front the band for their first concerts in China -- something Queen tried to do in 1985!
He has the perfect role in RHPS -- and is not playing the obvious "gay" part -- but is playing the part for the great singer (Meatloaf's part).
He has apparently recorded some more dance vocals which is likely to continue his presence in clubs.
And we still have the much awaited QAL Live DVD that we know they filmed.

The press release is International I really wish fans would not micromanage Adam's PR. This is not "news" in the US -- and no press release will make it a story here. Adam doing X-Factor AU is good for Adam in many ways -- and pretty much ensures his next single will get airplay in AU which does have some influence in the US. (If a US artist has a hit in AU, it is almost certain to get a better shot in the US. The two markets are very similar for pop music hits.) But it is not a big US news event. Adam being a judge on X-Factor in Australia is not big news in the US, Canada, or even the UK. For starters, X-Factor is not relevant in the US -- the US X-Factor only last 3 seasons (2011-2013) and, even with a ton of promotion, it never was important here going from 12.6 million viewers to 6 million viewers in 3 seasons. Any press it gets in the US will be solely because Iggy Azalea and Adam are famous here. No knock on Australia, but news outlets in the US basically ignore Australia. We also ignore most of the rest of the world -- thankfully we get the BBC International News on US Cable because otherwise I would not know there was any other country in the world. |
