Yes, Jablea, you have hit the nail on the head for me on many points. My take on the main reason he is so humble is that he really seems to put the thought of others ahead of himself to a great extent. Also, he seems to me to embrace all parts of himself without being stuck in the societal frameworks that can be so constricting of the life force- the sexual, the sadness, the anger. And I think this is why his music has such power. You can see this embodied in his physical postures onstage- the fully open, extended, arching movements he makes (and for someone who's not into Yoga!) For me, the moment when I fully realized how spontaneous and unfiltered he is came after he performed "Welcome to the Show" on American Idol and he was jumping with enthusiasm
