Tweet from KA's brother: DA4Real Daniel Allen @ @ryanseacrest I follow you. NOW ITS TIME for you to use Rodan & Fields SkinCare products FROM ME. (DNA.myrandf.com) NEXT USER: @adamlambertI guess he is selling dermatological products and thought of Adam. >:( >:( I don't know him or follow him, but I've seen enough of his tweets retweeted on my feed to really dislike his use of twitter. I don't follow him either. Just saw this on another board and couldn't believe he sent this to Adam!! >:( Then again, Daniel has tweeted about the "colored people" and referred to Obama as "colored" in the past. He seems like he is pretty much an ass. I decided I didn't like the whole group of friends and family from Arkansas two years ago. That group remained seated in their floor seats at the AI show in Memphis. (I personally saw this) Everyone else on the floor was up and going crazy during Adam's entire set. The Arkansas crew sat there with their arms folded. :

Gotta agree with you there. Based upon a lot of his tweets, he sounds like a smug, immature young twerp. Don't think a great deal of intelligence runs in both of the boys. Graciousness doesn't exist for them both.

Personal statement here --- scroll alert if you want --- That is a wonderful line! I don't out myself often here, but I spent 15 years in ministry as a Lutheran pastor (now doing a related job but no longer in a church). I had a friend who worked with a fundamentalist Christian type, and he had a good line that worked with his office-mate, too. Martin Luther said that people of faith should consider themselves born anew each day -- so when the office mate would bug my friend about being "born again", he would smile and reply "every day." I've actually used this line too, and it works. By the way, that friend is a gay Christian and has been in a committed relationship for years now. In relation to Adam, I love him for many reasons. As a fellow singer, I love him for his voice and musicianship. As a fellow creative "outsider", I resonate with how he has felt in his life and the way he navigates his way with grace, style and a sense of humor. I also love his intelligence, sense of humor, integrity, honesty and beauty. His beauty truly comes from the inside -- and I don't care what faith or spiritual path he follows, he is a wonderful person and role model whose attitude and bravery are inspirational and transformational. I only wish more of the "religious" people I know emulated the way he lives his life. I know that being a fan of Adam has made me a better person and helped me look at my faith and work in new ways. Of course, it doesn't hurt that he is gorgeous and sex on legs with an adorable boyfriend and fabulous family and friends. We should all be so fortunate!

I didn't look thru all of them but didn't see any that come up to Adam's brothers level of (for a better word) frankness. Interesting, this is the latest endeavor from the two lady docs who created ProActive. They've got a foundation set up to help people feel better about themselves and change their lives from the sales of these products. Not a direct tie to Adam but seemingly from a perspective he could relate to for kids who feel different. Adam is known for what he puts on his face. I've always found Daniel's situation rather interesting. First as a cheerleader, then a cheerleading coach, and now a skin sales consultant. It's a bit of an alternative career path. I remember Neil talking writing that it was ok for Kris to be in the final and even win because both Adam and Kris had brothers who were "Neils".

murly -- what you said!! That said, there is a wide spectrum of Christian belief and thought. The part I can't stand, is when people claim that they believe the bible is the literal word of God to deny civil rights to people -- this was used to defend slavery in the US, oppress women and gays, and even to discriminate against Catholics. I think everyone is entitled to their own beliefs but they are not entitle to force them on me or other people. The challenge is that some people belong to religions that believe that God has charged them with spreading the Word of God. I have now learned to respond to the question, "Have you been saved?" with the response, "I'm Jewish, my people wrote the Book." End that conversation in about 4 seconds. On a related topic -- I am pleased that Libertarian-leaning Republicans finally stood up and pledged campaign support for the Republican Senators who supported gay marriage in NY. As long as these right-wing Christians control the money flow to Republican politicians, change will be impossible. Hopefully, more people will understand the need to support open-minded, socially liberal Republicans and reclaim the party of Lincoln. Sounds like the Michelle Bachmann women. She says all of her thoughts and what she has done so far in politics, which is nothing of sinificance, but push her ultra Christian agenda and God has told her to do it all.

Mind if I steal your line the next time I get asked? Would have been perfect a few weeks ago when I got tag teamed by a persistent door-to-door duo while I was trimming my bushes. I was trying to be polite in scraping them off, particularly since my daughter was in earshot, but it took a while. I did get them to go away in less than 10 minutes, but your comeback is a lot more efficient than what I came up with!

Except for the fact that the Arkansas clan was up and cheering for all of the other idols. It was obvious that they were "boycotting" Adam. Which is fine...it was their money, their decision, but it did cause me to form a general dislike for the whole bunch. It's just my opinion from what I observed. These tweets from Daniel Allen seem pretty frank: Note to the public: my groomsman consist of a full blooded indian doctor, a colored childhood friend, and a homosexual medical student … 7 minutes ago via Twitter for iPhone Oh.. And my best man is an American Idol… ! None of y’all can say that. Well maybe @mrandrewcook ..side note: AND IM MARRYING A VIRGIN! 6 minutes ago via Twitter for iPhone More about these tweets from thehomeplanet: www.thehomeplanet.org/?p=67404

Relevant to today's discussion. And one of the most interesting I've read: "My Take: The Bible condemns a lot, so why focus on homosexuality?" religion.blogs.cnn.com/2011/06/21/my-take-bible-condemns-a-lot-so-why-focus-on-homosexuality/ First two paragraphs: Growing up in the evangelical community, I learned the Bible’s stance on homosexuality is clear-cut. God condemns it, I was taught, and those who disagree just haven’t read their Bibles closely enough.
Having recently graduated from Yale Divinity School, I can say that my childhood community’s approach to gay rights—though well intentioned—is riddled with self-serving double standards.

Off Topic but.... @buzzidol Jennifer Lopez AMERICAN IDOL DECISION: WILL NOT RETURN - ringsidereport.com bit.ly/jfG3AB Me feeling is that the singing reality shows morphed into shameless promotions for the judges - it is NOT about the contestants at all, it seems to be ALL about the judges... so, both JLo and ST had something to promote this past season and they got their platform to do so... (same with the VOICE)...I bet - next time promotion is needed - she will be willing to become a judge again.... On another Off Topic - I just came back from the Alexander McQueen exhibit at the Met... - A.M.A.Z.I.N.G!!! (a couple of Gaga's outfits are part of it...) what a talent! If you are in the area - try and go (but get there early, or you will be waiting on line for hours...) the only thing I was surprised about - the lack of human skulls... I expected to see plenty of them... there were a couple of shoulder bird and alligator skulls though... :D and lots of feathers, leather, shells, metal, and all kinds of "unexpected" materials.... blog.metmuseum.org/alexandermcqueen/blog.metmuseum.org/alexandermcqueen/objects/I am proud of my state for passing the law! I loved Cuomo's speech and I hope he was right in saying that NYS is the trend setter.... ... need Adam news desperately... Do we think that the Nov. 8 date is "real" or just a non-substantiated rumor? Thank you for posting some of Alexander's amazing, creative fashions. So original and so other worldly, mind expanding .. thanks. So sad that he is no longer with us.
