just because it's so slow, bringing this highly tangential post (oh,and cause i might have this long unforgiving memory too)

I was happy Adam did not do this, but this tour is deeply sold in most venues and Body Say was just released -- 3 days old. So I think Demi and Nick's demises are highly overstated. They are not selling out the arenas but they are selling over 80% of the tickets, have a very low production budget and share a band -- so they will make a lot of money on this tour.

I don't know that I would take everything or anything posted on ONTD as gospel. The tour may not be selling out and it is correct that there has been a lot of promotional give aways. They however, have Honda as an underwriter for the tour, that is a good thing. Honda can and does bear a some of the expenses. The first show in Atlanta was broadcast in parts on Tidal. For that show they put together an interesting set arrangement wise with Nick opening for six songs, TI came on and they did a handful of songs together, Demi then did six or so solo, Nick came back and they did three or so songs together, then Demi finished up the concert with A few more songs. On the videos the arena looked pretty full for how it was set up. The twitter feed all seemed happy enough with the show aside from a few who didn't get to hear their favorite tune or weren't pleased with the overall setlist. In other words pretty normal feedback. The staging was nice but not extravagent, they share a band and the staging so there was no downtime between acts. The sharing would cut down on expenses as well. All in all, I thought the way they handled the show was clever and well done. Would an Adam / Demi tour have looked the same? - likely not but that will be totally and forever an unknown. I will say that I firmly believe that that tour failing to materialize was a major nail in the coffin leading to an early demise for TOH. Had the tour deal held together, we would have had and still be getting extensive TOH/Adam promo and would have had bigger pushes for subsequent singles and promo in North America. Rest in peace TOH.

Too funny! They must be doing more promo work today since he has Adam's shoes. No days off between filming after all. Whew!

You must not be including Canadian venues in your estimates because it looks dismal for them up here. They still have til the end of August but only a giveaway will resurrect the situation

Re the miming smoking a joint hand gesture I realised after I posted that the drawing I replied to isn't the best suited for the question because he very often makes a similar gesture but with his hands nowhere near his mouth. We do similar gestures in yoga and it's to do with energy flow and the chakras and I wondered if it was something similar. Of course then I was faced with finding an image of Adam actually doing the gesture I'm talking about and luckily the first video I watched contained one of him doing what I mean, i.e. pinching the thumb and forefinger together. I don't think it means weed when it's down there, or does it? Recently I've noticed him doing it during pretty much every song. That was discussed in detail on the 24th. Some think singaling the sound guy and that is certainly possible on occassion but it seems to me to be more of an interpretive motion. Emphasis on a lyric or note. This is really horrific, but I've seen HeWhoCannot amed use the same hand gesture. May rock throwing now commence.

It was up to #15 earlier. I wonder why. I hardly think a blurb on a German gossip site about Iggy and Adam's botox use precipitated this lol
