GlamNation was my favorite tour as well. But my favorite concert was Fantasy Springs #1. I guess you could say I'm "chasing the original high". yup, FS1 is up there in the "Original High" world for sure! Nothing can top that WLL for me and I wasn't even at the concert. RMT is my attended TOH, even it was only 20 mins or so... I've been to too-many-to-count Adam concerts, but RMT still ranks up there for me! I've never seen him so unbridled at a concert since. Terminal 5 comes next for me.

That acoustic Whole Lotta Love from FS #1 is still one of the most insane (amazing) live performances I've ever seen/heard. And I wasn't even there to hear it in person. That must've been crazy to hear in person. While I definitely LOVE the vocals he's brought out in the 3rd era (especially his vocals in TOH and After Hours to name a couple)... I guess I'm always going to hope Adam revisits the vocal style that he tapped into in the 1st era - loose, wildchild, trippy, 70s rock, Plant-esque wailing like he's painting the fuckin universe with neon and sound. Damn, I could go on and on about that performance.

Leaving you with an honest note. The most unbridled, free-flowing 'Glee' I ever had in this fandom (besides QAL) was Glamnation.. Since those vids contain persons that may be objectionable to others here, I'll leave y'all with this.. Yes, I know it's a new day, a new world and I don't have my head in the sand. But god, I miss having some glitter in my hair. I remember, during the TOH tour in Amsterdam, staying up late one night with Nic42, and over a bottle of wine, she was showing me all these videos that I had never seen before, Glee videos, and stand out Glamnation gigs..it was very entertaining and educational..

I love that description! Loose, wildchild, trippy. What a perfect description of Adam in that era. I have a friend who was at the first Fantasy Springs show. She still swoons over it. That show was really the first one where we saw the Adam we knew was inside him, quite different from the Idol Adam, who was, of course, beyond fantastic. That WWL rendition was incredible. Each era so far has shown us a different part of him. Era 4 will knock us off our feet, too, I predict. He'll have new sounds, new vibes, but that stellar voice will always shine through every phase of his career. And yes, I'd love to see him do the loose, wildchild, trippy thing again. Sex on two legs.
