Here is another lyric recitation, but I couldn't include it in my post about Aftermath and BO a few minutes ago because it is ridiculous. Sam Harris became a topic a day ago because of his interview with Michael Orland of AI. I got poking around on his extensive YT channel. There is some pretty fun stuff there, including this recitation. I have to say, besides having a phenomenal singing voice, the man has some other similarities to Adam. He seems really positive, very philosophical, funny, and creative. He made the following video reciting the lyrics for Crank That, by the rapper Soulja Boy. ;D ;D ;D(This really takes us from Adam's sublime to Soulja Boy's ridiculous.) Crank That's Vevo video has over 100 million views. It's one of those things that makes you go "HUUHHH????"

Oh no Gelly, :-[ MP makes feel strong like I can accomplish anything, a pick me up song. It also works well to give me energy to clean house. I know, I know, not everyone likes the same thing. I always skip Loaded Smile. You're right. I guess everyone here has a song that always skips. Since it can give you energy to clean the house I give up. Very few songs can do this IMO. And thank you for responding. That way I can see your avi once again! ;D the "skip" for everyone might be true... I routinely skip WWFM.... I love MP and was hoping thru the whole tour to have it at least once as an encore... cassie - thank you for the link to the latest Angelina's program - it was a pleasure (as it always is). I feel that BO lyrics is real true poetry and can have it's own life without music... Am I correct in thinking that Adam is the one who actually wrote the lyrics? I know that Adam said that he was stronger with that side of the songwriting - so I am attributing this wonderful creation to Adam...

The bridge is one of the few things on FYE that was manipulated in the studio. It sounds like it is sung on one breath. The phrase lasts for 27 seconds. While Adam can sustain a note endlessly (Brigadoon - 21 seconds), singing words with power, in an upbeat song, in his lower register is probably too much to ask of even him. However, he could easily sneak in a breath or two which would hardly be noticed, and would not in any way mess up the song. Therefore, I think he must have another reason for not singing it. Personally, (don't shoot me), I think it is one of the more mundane songs on the album. The lyrics don't say anything significant, and the melody and beat are not particularly compelling. It just doesn't sound like a song Adam can sink his chops into. He can't tear scenery with it like Sleepwalker, he can't play with it like Fever, he can't exude joy like IIHY, he can't touch you like Soaked. Yup. He could definitely sneak breaths. He does it a couple times in Soaked (Acoustic EP). So that he can extend one big phrase, he sneaks one in an odd spot right after it. And it works. My favorite phrase is at the first "and you had enough, searching for love" (at 1:15 in the track). Nice long phrase and doesn't breathe at the comma. But in the GN Live album version he does breathe at the comma. Regarding PYU, on the album it follows IIHY. They are exactly the same tempo and key. It's an okay song for me, but not unique.
