CHUNKEY I have to go to bed and your posts don't let me!!! When you become a big star with lots of money, please invite me to the US to one of the premier of your hit songs! OK I won't be able to wake up tomorrow! Good night! Clearly I am the next Kara Dioguardi.

I dunno but I sure as hell wanna become a song writer. Dem bitches make bank!!! And I think I am highly qualified to write lyrics for today's pop scene....observe.. Hey baby Move your body yeah yeah Touch my body oh oh oh In the club is where I move my body Dancing in the club In the club yeah yeah yeah Oh oh oh Work my body baby oh oh oh You make me wanna move In the club In the club Dance Dance Dance with my body Oh yeah Let's get wild tonight oooh oooh Wild with my body (repeat ten thousand times over a euro disco beat) BTW I am basing this on Nicole Sherzinger's new song with 50 Cent which approximately has about 10-15 words and they are all about body, touch my body, get up on me, yeah yeah, oh oh, me likey, right there, put it right there, oh oh and so on and so forth. LOL! Chunkeymonkey.....you have a HIT there! LMAO!!! Get thee to a writer's camp, Chunkey!! I'm sure you can stroll in all unimpeded. Be sure you wear your most affected, bored-with-it-all intellecta-hip-nerd look (think dreads and horn-rim glasses). Oh wait, if you're writing for pop divas, you need to slink in wearing Jimmy Choo's and micro minis (feeling the part), but you notice, in the NPR article, they did refer to the writers as "guys." And who gets to be Adam's Vocal Producer, who gets to tell him when to wail and when to purse his lips and what not? *puppy whine* I kind of doubt he has doves flying around the studio. And MWP, as I heard someone say the other day, that every Adam look is our favorite – until the next one. It's so funny to see that Aussie Mardi Gras outfit now and think we totally took it in stride at the time. (BTW, that errant spike at the bottom of the codpiece will never NOT crack me up.) I did enjoy that wild phase because he's just so fun and balls out, but damn, he looks so effing gorgeous in these new shots that I have to savor, because he WILL change again.

Not sure if this has ever been posted but it is hella interesting. It discusses how much it cost to get a hit single out and uses Rhianna's album as an example. Interesting that her entire album was written in one location, with writers for hire, over a period of only a few days. "Man Down" lyrics were written in 12 minutes (yes, you read that right. 12 minutes!) www.npr.org/blogs/money/2011/06/30/137530847/how-much-does-it-cost-to-make-a-hit-songGood thing it was such a hit because man, did they ever sink a bunch of money into getting it made! Fascinating article. Makes it sound like the "artist" is not an artist at all, but just another cog in the machine. The song is written for them, and the producer tells them how to sing it. Sounds like session work to me where singers come in and do whatever jingle or background the producers and directors want. I cannot imagine Adam working that way. Yes, he is a collaborator, so he would listen to suggestions, but he is also a control freak and a perfectionist. His greatest asset after his voice is his ability to interpret a song.

I just need to post that I LOVE the look and positioning that Adam has in these studio shots. Serious, thoughtful, stylish, a bit edgy but not too challenging, and gorgeous!!
He is a personal branding master.
I love FYE and his glam era, but this is much more mainstream and it is giving me the impression that the associated music may have more substance.

Yeah, yeah, I know. "Five more WWFMs." (lol, okay, now I'm just being grouchy, and while it's totally jokey grouchiness I should really stop . I have my (essentially trivial) RL reasons for grouchiness but this is really not the place to indulge them. This is the place to avoid them!) I have every faith that Adam 2 will be totally fantabulous, and I agree, he looks undeniably beautiful in these pics, and I always find him generally loveable, so I have absolute faith in his brand. Now watch this silly grouchy post land on the top of the page again (if I'm lucky it'll land at the bottom and no one will see it.) Ignore me please ps--yes!! not at the top pps--thanks for the "chin-up," susiefierce and mys*&@^#r. I'll heed your wise words!!

I like the message these pictures give. They inspire words like realness, honesty, made by Adam etc. I definitely think these are intentional to prepare us for the post glam era. I love this look. I know; makes me very curious about the tour as well as the album. I feel like Adam again is giving us what didn't even know we wanted & we haven't heard a single note of a song, only a few lyrics which were, IIRC, "I believe in more than I can see." I feel the same way - I believe in what I haven't even heard. Aw, I love you and your post!

MSP I was tempted to quote your post to make it at the top of the page. I did not cause I am so nice. I think we only have a vague idea of what Adam 2 will have but I am SURE it will not have 5 WWFMs on it -- at least from a creative standpoint. BUT I sure hope it has 5 songs as big as WWFM!!
