A "quick and dirty" translation of Sauli's first blog in IS blogit.iltasanomat.fi/sauli/Hello Finland! I changed the continent and returned back to the LA and to the heart of Hollywood. It was wonderful to visit Finland, but it was even more wonderful to come back here. Hah! The heatwave continued in Finland immediately after I left the country, so I think it's better to all of us that I stay on this side of the globe. I'll start writing a blog about the wonderful world of the America and about all that is going on here. I'll try to concentrate mostly in the entertainment world, fashion and the latest news. There's not much going on in this country, ever, you see... I will also post pictures and videos in case there are things going on that you can't describe with words. Quite a lot we - me and Katri - already managed to show to the Finnish people about Los Angeles in the Tutka Roadshow, but there's still a lot to show! On Monday next week, 4.7. the Americans are celebrating their independence day "the Declaration of Independence". It will be celebrated a lot around the US. There will be parades, fireworks, and people will gather in the parks and have picnics. In Hollywood, movie screens will be put up all around and old movies will be shown through the whole night. Sounds crazy and I'm eagerly waiting for it. In my next blog I will tell you how these celebrations really turned out to be. This is a short and "straight to the point" start so you'll know to visit this page a couple of times a week and read Hollywood news straight from Sauli's mouth. Today on TV they already warned us about earthquakes, so let's hope we stay alive here so we can keep the blog up. By all means, please post ideas and comments about what you would like to know for example about Hollywood/LA. Yay! /Sauli |

About Sauli's blogs:
I translated Sauli's first blog now and posted it here, but I'd like to know if it's okay to do that? I know it's a bit OT... :-/
I can do the translations in the future (IF you want and if I have time and RL doesn't bother me too much) but I don't have a webpage where I could post the translations, so this is about the only place I could post them. And I don't know if for example Riinukka is going to translate them in the future. Then it would be of course unnecessary to have them here...
Zinnia, do you have any idea if Riinukka is planning on doing this?
