That was my thought, it is Tritonal and Jenaux's song. Plus, I think of the image in question as androgynous which is a thing in itself and not just an attempt to be more universal and avoid homo- or hetero-sexuality. I am loving all these interim songs. I am wondering what new thing he will come up with next ... country? OK, maybe not I agree that Adam's overt sex appeal sets him apart from other gay male singers, ie. SS, Olly, etc. They are sexually benign. Adam incorporates his sexuality from time to time (gay or just general sexuality) into his performances in various degrees. It's part of who he is and he doesn't hide it. It does set him apart from any other gay male pop singer that I can think of. Only other is Ricky Martin, i think. Love him! OFC, he established his career before coming out.

Looking through the comments on the Ghost Town Pluto remix that was posted on the Proximity channel (the same channel that is hosting the Broken lyric video) and it appears that quite a few gamers were directed to GT a couple of months ago. Gross Gore, a popular League of Legends gamer/youtube broadcaster (ie he records as he plays and then other wannabe gamers like my DS watch the youtube) used the song on his youtube explaining why he got kicked off the main site that links to all the gaming youtubes. Anyway, a longer story here than anyone wants to hear but if there was a GT spike in the numbers about 2 months ago this might have something to do with it. Thank you for the research. The Unlike Pluto remix popped up in his stats the week preceding January 31st. So that's a bit longer ago. It however is one of his top 20 songs on YT since then. Mostly hovering between spot 10-12. It's a pretty popular remix with over 3 million views on this video alone. The gamer's searching for GT wouldn't have just led them to the Unlike Pluto remix however but to GT in general as they were trying to find the right remix. The actual one Gross Gore used doesn't mention Adam even in the notes it's by Veorra & The Tech Thieves which in 7 months is at 1.7 million views but then maybe it's a cover and not a remix. A Minecraft 'tuber PinkSheep used this same one too just a couple of weeks ago. Hope Adam is getting writing residuals. SaveSave

I don't understand why you say he won close to a million for that? Are you saying there are money prizes for winning the gold? This is an 'amateur' sport arena...supposedly...[yeah that...]

I think it's very bad that they don't mention anything about the original. This version was posted on a lot of channels and also got removed a few times I think. Views total are a few million though, but most posts don't mention Adam's version. Some do mention it's a cover, but that's about it.

As discussed yesterday, it's hard to tell if in the lyric video, one of the lovers is male or female, which is probably the intent, so that people could decide for themselves. Why they do this still, so that it could be universal and not just a song about same-sex couples? The lyrics are so personal, that if the video was true to Adam, the sex of the lovers would not be so ambiguous. If Sam Smith and Olly Alexander videos can show same-sex themes, maybe someday, we'll see the same with his videos. I wonder sometimes, if the backlash from the AMA awards show, holds him (or whoever produces his videos) back. It is Tritonal & Jenaux featuring Adam Lambert -- Tritonal made the video content decisions and I do not know enough about them to speculate about why they made the choices they did. What is in play for all commercial musicians/artists -- gay, straight, undecided, and other -- is making a song/video appealing to a broad audience. **** Straying from your comment which inspired this post....Adam has done a very good job modulating how much he pushes the boundaries -- with only a few missteps. A couple that come to mind are "Ring of Fire" on Idol (he wore a cat-o-nine-tails on Idol in 2009) and AMAs. But more often than not he has gotten it right -- nudging what is acceptable forward. ( Note: I still think if he had done AMA performance as planned, he would have been criticized for the lame choreo and production, and less than Adam's best vocal performance. Instead he owned the music news cycle for about a week, and was blown out of the Idol bubble. I think that the AMAs were a net positive to Adam's career -- although it cost him many fans from Idol. Too bad his vocals were not great.) Other artists -- like Sam Smith -- have stayed in the safe zone. He sold a lot of music, but had limited cultural effect. In the short term, if Adam was willing to play nice gay, not wear eyeliner, no nail polish and played the game), he could have won Idol and been more successful -- but he would have been hounded by paparazzi and gay activists, and been miserable. These are the kind of personal concessions that have caused others to end up with very serious substance abuse problems and emotional issues. In the long term, Adam will have far more cultural and artistic impact taking the path he has chosen -- a balance between totally honesty and commercial acceptance. We have a lot of nice gay role models, we have only one Adam Lambert.

This is an 'amateur' sport arena...supposedly...[yeah that...] I think they don't win any money on the Olympics themselves, but most countries give their athletes a bonus for medals. In Singapore the bonus for winning a gold medal is 1 million Singaporean dollars. Just heard this as well on my tv when they mentioned him winning from Phelps.
