Gelly, I didn't answered your question, yesterday, about why US radio wouldn't play a song like this, even though it is great. youtu.be/1HNEWcDKySEI knew you had gone to bed already so I thought I'd answer now. The simple answer is that US CHR, radio seems to play the same stuff over and over and over. Right now it is Katy, Beyonce, Bruno, LMFAO, Britney, Gaga, JLo, Selena Gomez, Rhianna, Bruno Mars, KE$HA, and Enrique. They play the same songs about every 40 - 60 minutes. thanks for replying mys*&@^#r50 I don't get it. Even if you love those artists don't you get boooooored by the constant repeat? I understand the constant repeat if they're playing it in certain hours with high ratings but all the time? :-/

CHR format stations play the most popular 20, 30 or 40 songs plus a few new songs. That is the definition of the format. By definition, these are also the top selling songs in the US. These stations are the stations that attract listeners who are interested in new music and who are mostly age 16 - 29 years old. There are about 12 other major radio formats in the US -- Country, HAC, AC, Urban, Rhythmic etc. There are also countless minor formats -- like Tropical, Classic Rock, Mexican AC, etc.

I have always loved Ewan MrGregor. Sooooooo talented!! Damn, that would have been a sex scene that would have been fun to watch. Sooo funny! And now I'm watching "Moulin Rouge." I had it in my Netflix queue. I've never seen the whole thing straight through. It's funnier than I remember.

CHR audience are largest during "Drive Time" when people are driving to and from work/school. Morning Drive is the most important time slot for new music, TV and movie promotion. That is when Ryan Seacrest and Elvis Duran have their shows.

I guess I'm not a typical listener then, I have one radio station that I listen to, and I'm totally pleased.

Speaking of fan promo ... this is fun!! A "trailer" for Adam2 We could save RCA some money and send this video to TV. Except that the "New Music" is usually by the same artists! : The day Gaga and Britney released their new songs Radio announced they were going to play the songs every hour even before anybody heard the song. :-/ One radio station said on twitter they didn't need to hear the song to know it would be popular just based on their name.

For awhile, I started tracking because I would leave from work at the same time every day. I get into my car at 5:50, turn on the ignition and Rihanna's "Only Girl in the World" would be on. Every. Day. For weeks. In the hour it takes me to drive home, I would hear "Grenade," "Say My Name," and "Love the Way You Lie" all within that :60, so pretty much a given – three Rihanna songs in 60 minutes, every day. Needless to say, I would flip around because couldn't take the same songs over and over, but would flip back just to check and sure enough, they were there like clockwork.
