All I know is that I definitely notice those wrapped buses. Just saw one advertising Billy Elliott in San Francisco. Been wanting to see the play ever since!!

I would say definitely a pool party. And with the beautiful weather we are having, probably tonight, and tomorrow, and Monday too!

I used to buy these -- well my staff did -- they are very affordable and excellent in LA, SF, NY, CHI because they get a lot of viewership. But really not very targeted approach to media buying. Best for marketing mass products and public service messages. They have been used in LA for major movie releases on the routes that go thru the westside -- sort of targeted. Cool as they are, I never had much luck with them -- meaning they have very low recall in post-campaign research. But I have not used is a similar campaign. Interesting, Q3, that these are not effective... all I know is that Gaga's face is staring at me from everywhere in NYC: every bus stop, every display...I am frankly sick and tired of looking at her... I want BB there... badly... Sorry if I was unclear -- I was referring to bus wraps not transit and outdoor advertising. Just specifically to bus wraps.

I would think that this type of promo would make people aware of a current artists CD being available... I too am sick of seeing Gaga everywhere.. you can't get away from it. I think I would feel differently about her, if she wasn't hitting us over the head with how important her music is..js I would feel differently about Gaga if her music was important vs. derivative fluff. I found her new album to be a great disappointment. I expect more from her. ETA: Adam appears to be off today -- maybe he will give us a twitter party!!

this is OT but since Adam loves Velvet Goldmine I'm gonna share a bit of interview from Ewan McGregor about his sex scene with Christian Bale. It is hilarious
Hope it hasn't already been posted

Gelly, I didn't answered your question, yesterday, about why US radio wouldn't play a song like this, even though it is great. youtu.be/1HNEWcDKySEI knew you had gone to bed already so I thought I'd answer now. The simple answer is that US CHR, radio seems to play the same stuff over and over and over. Right now it is Katy, Beyonce, Bruno, LMFAO, Britney, Gaga, JLo, Selena Gomez, Rhianna, Bruno Mars, KE$HA, and Enrique. They play the same songs about every 40 - 60 minutes.
