Yes she has tweeted him: ADAM LAMBERT @adamlambert 28 Sep 2014 @ladygaga that Bang Bang performance was KILLER. Fantastic vocal Lady. LADY GAGA @ladygaga 29 Sept 2014 @adamlambert miss singing with you and Queen! You do Freddie so proud every night, so happy for you! As an aside, just because we don't always see a response on Twitter doesn't mean that she is ignoring him. She could be direct messaging him on Twitter (or even texting him) and we would never know it. ETA: Gaga also tweeted this when QAL went to see her on tour the same year: LADY GAGA @ladygaga 20 Aug 2014 Me and Brian May from QUEEN. They came tonight to the artRAVE and I'm so PROUD of Adam Lambert singing with them. Made me cry during Dope when I saw them all sitting there. I thought about Freddie. instagram.com/p/r7KHuQJFFV/

Now I can resume loving her which I do and not have that bitter feeling in the back of my mind!

I've always been very liberal. But over the years, and esp. since knowing Adam, I've added a layer of understanding to my attitude. I used to be more likely to say, "Gay people should be accepted like everyone else, but perhaps they shouldn't "flaunt" their sexuality or make it obvious." I have moved beyond that attitude to how I feel now. No gay person should have to hide who they really are if they choose not to. The spectrum of sexuality is so broad and sweeping. Some gay people simply cannot hide their natural persona. I think Johnny is one of them. Adam moves smoothly from one world to another, adjusting himself (I assume) with perception and ease in any situation. Not every gay person is like him. Nor should they have to be. Anybody, gay or straight, can be a jerk or act rudely or inappropriately. That's a human trait, not restricted to one's sexuality. Johnny may be too feminine for some, but it's who he is and he shouldn't have to hide it. He is hurting no one. He's Adam's friend, and he is accepted by those who love him. I agree with the above and just wanted to say how truly loving and remarkable Adam is with all people everywhere.. He is truly a humane ,evolved human being.. I so admire him Very interesting discussion and I'm so happy we feel safe talking about these things; that's how we grow and open our minds. I'm just happy that Johnny or anyone can be who they are. He just looks so "free" in that video. I guess that was what was so special about that vacation. No need for masks.

cassie wrote: Thanks for your honesty, cassie. Brave thing to do in this world of anonymous vitriol. My thoughts: 1. I think that no matter how comfortable one is with something, there is always a whiff of, "But what other people will think." IMO, no matter how we might try to deny it. Or strive to ignore it. And IMO, that makes us have a layer of cultural consciousness that influences, in varying degrees, how we view something. 2. I think the amount of pervasive mocking humor centered around effeminate behavior takes a toll on perception of that behavior. 3. I also think we can be uncomfortable with gender role permutations. It seems there is a certain amount of expectation for appropriate gender behavior. So if that behavior sways far to the ends of the spectrum, it can be, again, culturally uncomfortable. 4. How awful it must be to try to transcend and deal with those expectations just because of being born a certain (different) way. My opinion only. Also, how very very courageous to behave in a harmless but reviled manner in our society. I shudder to think what they have had to deal with. Also my opinion only. 5. Would those same behaviors in a woman make people uncomfortable? You know your #5 hits home with me. Yes a woman acting the same way would be uncomfortable. but why? Are they putting on an act? Are they unpredictable? he is just silly and I guess my real feeling is empathy that no one will take him seriously. # 4 is a feeling that I have had. Sitting in a crowded restaurant and overhearing a very " effeminate" boy discuss his dreams of being a lawyer and knowing what he will face was heartbreaking.
