I don't think it has anything to do with what is played. I believe it's because Adam is actually performing in Freddie's place with Brian and Rodger as Queen . Marc Martel is imitating Freddie in a cover band. Totally different in my opinion. This would be my guess as well...... after all ..... 'Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery'. Marc Martel does a fabulous job at what he does, actually imitating Freddie. If Brian and Roger had wanted him as their frontman, they would have hired him to do it. But they didn't. They didn't want a Freddie imitator as their frontman. They chose Marc to work with QE. He suits it beautifully. But Brian and Roger had the courage and the discernment to choose Adam, who projects the ESSENCE of Queen without coping it. It's a whole different skill. It adds a whole new level of depth and homage to the original. It's hard to understand how some people just don't get that. Marc M. has praised Adam, too. He knows that Adam's job is different from his. Lots of classic bands have great "cover" bands and "tribute" bands. Many are super good. Takes a whole different ball of talent to perform so perfectly with the original members. It's not heresy or disrespect. In Queen's case, it's plain genius.

Is there a You Tube version of the earlier XFactor promo video where the judges have the cards and are answering questions? (have seen the screen shots) The one on the XFactor site never loaded right for me. I am still on the previous thread, so if it has been posted already, I will come to it. But just wondered if there is one out there. Thanks in advance!

I agree with Stampsgal, Cheriemelissa, and Geezlouise that the tribute/cover band roll of QE vs Adam actually performing with Brian and Roger is what accounts for a lot of difference in the way some Queen fans react.
Also, there is an emotional factor - Brian and Roger and Adam have gone past appreciation to obviously loving one another. Additionally, Brian and Roger have been supportive and nurturing of Adam as he developed into a stronger and stronger frontman. It may be difficult for some Queen fans to see Brian and Roger have a musical-band-friendship love like this again.
peace&love
ETA - I agree, Girldrummer. Imagine a singer who was trying to sound and move like Freddie actually performing with Brian and Rodger. Creepy when doing so with the original band members. Fun and entertaining in a tribute band.

Plus, other that Paul Rodgers, has anyone sung 20 or so queen songs in 2 hours like adam has? Marc isn't the only singer in that show, is he?

I'm totally with you!! I love hearing from people who were at the concert that it was great and he was amazing!! Plus I'm suffering from a serious withdrawal from QAL concert!! I need some more and fast!!😅 I'm still feeling bliss... That concert was one of my greatest experienecs. And we were so lucky to get 2 extra songs, because there was no other show for 5 days afterwards. You are sooo right!!! I will probably be buzzing about this concert for a while.. And on another note I finally picked an Adam avatar, if someone already has it let me know..

You may be confusing the We Will Rock You musical production with the Queen Extravaganza. Marc is the lead vocalist for QE. The QE experience is listed as a 90 minute show .....and having never seen it in it's entirety, I'm not sure if it has ever exceeded that.

The QE experience is listed as a 90 minute show .....and having never seen it in it's entirety, I'm not sure if it has ever exceeded that. I thought the initial versions of QE did have multiple singers. In fact, didn't a woman sing WWTLF? And didn't Jeff Scott Soto sing in it at one point. Even though Marc is the only singer now, why does he not sing WWTLF? Also, I heard Paul could not sing all the songs in the catalog and that some keys were lowered. I remember telling my dentist I was going to a concert and he said "Who?" And I said Queen and Adam Lambert. He was a Queen fan and he said "Wow, if there is anyone who can sing those songs, it's him. He has the range". Since then whenever he sees me he asks about them, and the last time he said "Every die-hard Queen fan I know thinks it's a positive thing. No one can replace Freddie but he's the next best thing." I sometimes wonder if all these haters really are just a small group. If you look at the number of dislikes versus views on the YouTube videos, it's always a really small percentage. I think a lot of the haters are on Queen Online. I noticed very few comments there from the last few shows.
