Watching that video of TSMGO while reading the lyrics (thanks Q3!), I thought the mix-up didn't sound as mixed up as it did when I watched it last night. He got back on track after "turning, turning." Yeah, it was obvious something was wrong, but he powered through, and his vocal was stunningly beautiful!
I was able to watch the saved periscope of Taipei yesterday, and it sounded like he messed up in that show too. I wonder if skipping it tonight was because of the lyric problems, or just to save his voice during this three-night stretch?
