Wow, that Born to Love You vocal was wonderful!
From what I've heard in Adam's voice this time around, I almost hope that they scrap any 2-year-old footage for a QAL video release and use more current recordings! Of course, that would mean we'd have years more to wait for the final product...

Every time I think Adam's voice cannot get any stronger or more resonant, he proves he is still growing as a vocalist. The vibrancy and power of this vocal is astounding. I agree. There were comments a few days ago about listening to QAL vs. Queen - avoiding the Freddie comparison - and for me what I enjoy about QAL is the lyricism Adam brings to the songs. He is able to carry the melodic lines so well while keeping the power of the songs, and is either getting better as you say, or is allowing himself to do it more as he continues singing with Queen. I personally find that much more enjoyable than "power" achieved by the singer breathing within the phrases. To be fair, I love the thick harmonies of the original songs, which of course are difficult to reproduce live. So I'm not completely biased toward QAL, but I have to admit I personally enjoy what Adam has brought to the music -and I agree he is getting better. |

Wow, five done four to go, this final leg of their tour is almost over, wonder what is in the future for them. Really wishing/hoping for US/Canada dates. Would like to see them sooner versus later but with Adam doing X Factor - doesn't seem likely that anything will be added for October, November, December. Guessing would be early in 2017 - WHEN - not if it happens. Being optimistic. Me too for purely selfish reasons - I discovered they were collaborating literally the day after the Detroit concert and didn't get a chance to see them live on their US tour. The only concert I could see on Adam's solo tour was one where he had vocal problems. I feel like I just haven't had the chance to really experience the phenomenon... If they came back, nothing would stop me from seeing them! |

Watching that video of TSMGO while reading the lyrics (thanks Q3!), I thought the mix-up didn't sound as mixed up as it did when I watched it last night. He got back on track after "turning, turning." Yeah, it was obvious something was wrong, but he powered through, and his vocal was stunningly beautiful! I was able to watch the saved periscope of Taipei yesterday, and it sounded like he messed up in that show too. I wonder if skipping it tonight was because of the lyric problems, or just to save his voice during this three-night stretch? I was wondering the same! I think Adam is too much of a professional to skip a song because of challenging lyrics, so I assume he skipped TSMGO tonight in order to save his voice. I said this before, but it almost pains me when he does both belter songs back to back, and TSMGO is challenging both lyrically and vocally. |
