Morning musings, my opinion only...
At the end of the second "forever" in this IG that
adamrocks posted, you can hear him say "yeh." That to me is almost the best part.
In my mind, I think he knows he nailed it. I think nailing it is very important to him, for himself first, but I believe it is also very important for him to do his best, to give the audience every bit of himself as a performer, every time.
No one can do that perfectly every time, but as a fan, I respect him so much for that philosophy. For me, it indicates a respect both for the craft and for the people who came to see the show. As well as his bandmates. And the song itself.
Often I see more of a "that's good enough" approach to things. Like the dearth of customer service.
I guess what I'm muddling my way through to is that yes, he is ungodly handsome, and can move like...., excuse me, lost my train of thought for a minute
, and he seems to be a lovely person, has a great sense of humor, is intelligent, and has a voice in a billion. But I think part of the reason that he has held this allure for me for so long is that, IMO, he appreciates what he has. And that humbleness is part of what I'm talking about.
He could be quietly arrogant about his voice, he has earned it, he could be conceited about his looks, they are undeniable, he could be a dismissive diva, he has the money and the fame.
But, IMO, he is not. And that, I think, is what I am trying to say. That solidness, that realness.
Now, if you will excuse me, I think I will return to the shallow end of the pool and look at the rest of the thread to see
adamrock's gifts, like this one:
Why yes, since you ask, I AM admiring his humbleness when I look at this picture!
