Got a minute to throw away? Great! (I know that it's not okay here to push people to vote on polls, but this is purely for fun in a slow night. Please delete if inappropriate.) This online clothing store site has a stupid little "design your own dress!" competition going on. (In Finnish) The winning design at the moment is one with Justin Beiber's face on it, so of course I had to make an alternative! (Neither Adam nor Beiber will probably win because of the copyright infrigment, but it would be nice to beat Bieber.) To vote for Adam dress, go to here: www.nelly.com/fi/designyourdress/?obj=VixAjedqappAYNUhnZ9XsgejrQoo65FOb1O9SpotVSrrd0MEYLbE#Gallery- Scroll down - type in the "I am human" code - click the "äänestä täällä!" button -> that's it! no registration needed! done! (I think - couldn't read the pop up window)...what a cool dress!! Interesting placement of Adam's lips. LOL! LOL Done and I saw kiitos written ;D

How about this one savvy?
The Lettermen - Evening Rain
I really have to get up off my ass and actually do something. Every time I do, another song pops into my head and I'm right back where I started this morning. Fun stuff.

*sings in her best Gordon Lightfoot voice*.. The legend lives on from the Chippewa on down of the big lake they call "Gitche Gumee." "Superior," they said, "never gives up her dead when the gales of November come early!" hehe ;D EDIT...man, my Canadian patriotism is kicking in...shall I sing some Ann Murray? (also shows my age, dammit) Loved that song! Had a brother-in-law who crewed on the Edmund Fitzgerald (before it sank). Have a brother who also crewed on the ore boats on the Great Lakes. Grew up in a house that looked out on Lake Michigan. Know all about the fury of the gales on the lakes. For our international members, the Great Lakes are seven huge, interconnected lakes in the midwest US and bordering on Canada. They contain 21% of the world's surface fresh water, and are more like inland seas than the ponds you might think of. Gordon Lightfoot wrote a wonderful sea shanty about the wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald on Lake Superior. Hey Cassie - Have you heard of Lee Murdock? Sort of like Gordon Lightfoot, but a little more folk. He is the closest I've come to being a serious fan other than my insane AFL fandom. He specializes in "Great Lakes" music. He writes about it for his original work and also is heavily involved in traditional songs of the lakes. I love tons of his songs, but this is the first one I found on youtube so rather than try and pick any 1 particular, I just went with this. It is sort of rain based (A squall includes rain) White Squall

Another one of my favorite Canadians Neil Young - Like a Hurricane Dang, guys, here I am trying to squeeze in some Atop time on a lunch break and what do I find?? PAGE AFTER PAGE OF COOL RAIN SONGS!! I LOVE IT!! But I have to stop here--at my guy NEIL YOUNG'S Hurricane!! I bought a freakin' ORGAN because of the origingal version of this song (son's friend is taking care of it for us these days--it's been moved 5 TIMES!). AND son traded his bass guitar for electric just before I moved to CA and the first song I learned (when he finally let me touch it) was THIS electric version!! ;D Love it! Gotta run now, but looking forward to picking up on p. 8 later to listen to the rest of the awesome music you guys are posting! My contribution is this old vid I saw on twitter today--no rain, just lots of laughs. Hmmmm...connection?....laughing in the rain??

Queen Kapi`olani wrote this sweet love song for her husband, High Chief David Kalakaua I have a feeling of love For my cherished sweetheart My companion is a bird Who dwells in the forest The `i`iwi bird of the uplands Appears yellow in the rain The two of us In the night of great rain The rain of Hanalei I'm numb with the cold I'm also cooled In the cold misty rain The hau of Ma`ihi Swimming in the sea The vegetation Spreading out The fragrance of the hala Is borne on the wind Sweetly scented Is the fragrance of the rose A sweetly recurring thought Urges my body to travel I am made happy By thoughts of your arrival Tell the refrain My chief is gone forever
