I'm a baseball fan, and we're in a rain delay for the 9th Fucking Inning!!
So, I have a moment to tell you a little something.
I have a son in pro baseball. In 2001, all games after 9/11 were cancelled for good reason. The teams came back to play at the end of September. My son wondered who he should bring to the SF Giants ballpark to sing the anthem. I asked him if he might think that the most beautiful voice would be the voice of the people. That night, the National Anthem was sung by the baseball fans in the stands of San Francisco.
Tonight, I am so proud that SOMEONE in Cleveland thought that the voice of the people who support this team, and this sport, and all it represents - including this country - felt the same.

We are glued to the TV in Chicago tonight, cheering on the Cubs! And now we're in extra innings AND a rain delay. Can it get any more torturous? The whole city is on pins and needles. Wait! I think they just started the game again.

That was really a very special thing to do...the true spirit and voice of the people there.
