OT,
This might be considered as a controversial opinion, hope that this is offensive cause not meant to be at all.
I was discussing with someone, some time ago, on MJ's about songs for Adam next album. Someone said that they hope that Adam doesn't have too many "gay" themed songs on his second album, and I initially agreed with them, as in saying it's alright if there's a few songs that touches on certain topics, but if it's too much of the same, it can become a bit preachy.
This reaction came about, from listening to songs that suppose to be, well sort of, gay anthems and the such all seem to be pretty trite, with cliched, bad lyrics as in Ke$has We R who we R and Katy Perry's Firework, or preachy ie. Gaga's BTW, or labeling themselves as freaks as in Pink's and they all seem to have this whole thing with labeling those in this community as freaks, or being outrageous and outsiders; even Adam's aftermath, as much as I can cry listening to the acoustic version, and feel elated joy with the remix, the lyrics do seem a bit cliched and cheesy at times.
But was just thinking today that it'll be great if he could have some empowerment songs, or songs that make you feel proud, or even others that aren't in the same to feel the same or to even want something better for them as well.

runawaysu susan @rcapromo Who is Adam Lambert? I mean, he has not appeared on anything, wonder if anyone will remember him soon...........(sarcasm) 9 minutes ago in reply to ↑ @rcapromo RCAMG Promo Dept @runawaysu when Adam is finished recording his new album we'll all be seeing & hearing plenty from him! Be patient it will be worth it!3 minutes ago I wish fans wouldn't tweet messages like this to RCA!! This particular person went on a CRAZY rant the other night and sent a bunch of crazy ass tweets to Adam! : This fan seems a little cray... Firework, We R who we R, and F'ing Perfect aren't only for the gay community. These songs aren't labeling the gay community as freaks or outsiders. I've always thought those songs spoke to anyone who felt different or like they were a "freak". Those who are different in any way can relate to the lyrics of these songs. Even BTW refers to different races.

LOL the Do Something Awards are my kind of awards. I was browsing around and just saw--up for an award for "best city": Austin, TX! [Although I think they could have come up with a better reason--for example, Austin is one of only two cities in the country that has a city-and-local-business-subsidized affordable health insurance program for independent musicians (New Orleans is the other). Pretty cool.] Also up for an award: David Beckham Did you also notice under festivals - Austin City Limits is also listed. (Noticed your coded message - never know who Adam might be appearing at events with

Oh sorry I hit send too soon, meant to add to this, and I was talking about Pink's Raise Your Glass, not F'ing Perfect, (which . Didn't finish actually, was talking about him writing certain songs with a certain theme in mind, but also can be universal, that makes you feel proud and empowered. Guess I was just thinking about My Change is Gonna Come, and how Cooke how relatable that song is.
