So that was a short lil' trip, eh? Taping Project Runway, hanging out with friends a bit, a little "bizzness", and back home. Not even staying through the weekend to avoid the LA traffic fiasco. Sauli My thought exactly. He loves.

Thanks, SusieFierce and vivlite! I've loved reading all the excitement and wonderful posts here tonight, and especially the new Japanese interview. If Adam can bowl me over with a tweet, I can only imagine how amazing his lyrics from his "extremely personal" album will be. With all the new information about the album in the twitter party and this interview, is anyone feeling about nervous, or scarily excited? I'm normally a worrier, but strangely I'm not nervous about this new CD at all, after having read his responses to INROCK magazine. I'm just excited for November to arrive.

Isn't it nice to know that when Adam comes home after traveling on business, it isn't to an empty house but a house filled with Sauli and happiness?!

I have heard that many people have chosen to never listen to my show again because of this. Thank you for giving me some insight into the history of the album. After hearing what you had to say, I have deleted the "Take One" album from the station's database. That will be the last time a song from that album is played on my show. I was never aware of the story behind the album. Thanks for understanding! The bolded bit is just plain ridiculous behaviour by some fans IMHO. :-/ >:( And at least we know now what song he played

Wow, Liam is such a gracious young man. I'm sorry he got flak for playing the song. Poor guy just didn't know. It certainly gave rise to some fascinating discussion here, so I'm glad it came up

I truly appreciated him playing some rarely heard material. It is what courageous DJs do. I am behind him completely on this. He didn't know the history and it's seriously like a DJ back in the '70s being slipped a dusty demo from a major act before they ever became famous. In the past, that is what DJs lived for. I truly hope Liam isn't too rattled by that kind of over-reaction. He's doing a beautiful service and he's 15, for god's sakes. Get a grip, peeps.

He's just a kid but shows more maturity than whoever tweeted him that bolded part. I feel like I need to tweet him some love for his continued support of Adam but I am a horrible tweeter.

Adam has never sung a song I would hate; I think it's because he won't sing a song that is without meaning for him. He can't sing a song without making it meaningful to him. He makes the music. That said, he was a session singer; and his voice shines in 'the bastard album'.
Every couple of months, I take a long road to Oregon to see my mom. Its a drive of almost 400 miles, one way. A few months ago, I drove it in a rented car (my old Buick doesn't have a CD player) and listened to (gasp!) 'Take One' as I wended my way up I-5 and through the Siskiyous.
I heard Adam through it all. And, to this day, in spite of the repetitive melodies and drawn-out lyrics and slow pace, I hear a soul. Adam cannot sing without feeling the song. Even a song that is hanging by a thread.
"One of us has to go . . . . we know" "Father, I can see your train; next stop, Sunshine! Oh, it's only an horizon . . " "Thank you for the castles . . . you let us carve our own . . " "Check for preflight, engines on, headlong, into this song . . . this is for life . . . I will stand tall, discover it all . . " " . . . out here in space it seems so clear . . "
How can I explain it? He singsongs a moan . . a small inflection. If I could see Adam, it would be a body move encompassing sadness, acceptance, yearning. Instead, it is conveyed in his voice, through a hum, a slight vocal mood - and it is entrancing.
I'm glad there is finally a conversation about this album. I know fandom doesn't want it. I know (or so I've heard) Adam does not endorse it. A blessing and a curse. I believe Adam cannot sing without beauty and emotion. And it shows. In "Take One".
