They own the songs but not the specific recordings. Adam and Monte would get the publishing royalties unless they have assigned them to someone else. I have been absolutely assured that they both retained the publishing rights on their CV songs. If released, Adam and Monte would get royalties if any were paid. I can see where this would possibly cause some strain in their relationship, because I heard that Monte wanted the songs released but Adam didn't. I think a lot of people would buy them if they were actually released. Would they be different than the bootleg ones we have already heard? I'd certainly buy them as long as a dark cloud wasn't hanging over the whole thing. In fact I'd be more than happy to part with my money. I want a nice clean copy.  |

OK I just listened to 2 songs from Foster the People that Adam talked about with Greg Wells.
I didn't know them. I admit that I don't like everything Adam suggests but these are soooo good!!!

I don't think the songs were never released to itunes or on CD for sale before and they're all over the YT and internet. They're not pick up by listener because the band and the singer were unknown that time. Just because the owner of the voice is famous now so one of the writer wanted to release them in itunes? IDK .. it would be different if these songs released for sale prior to AI. Maybe when Adam's career is firmedly established - he would release these songs and tweak them up a bit make them more relevant. ... IDK |

I'm finally catching up & getting a chance to say something about all of the pre-storm goings on the last 2 days. But now I'm speechless! All I can say is that every wonderful thing he said is like this bunch of sweet kitties that I just want to squeeze & hug & kiss and never let go.  And those NYC pics? Tee & scarf seems pretty common attire but he makes the most common thing look outstanding. I know he'd turn MY head as he strode down the street? And we know he can stride. He's not too thin IMO. In fact he's Just Right. Speaking of Just Right........
