The twitter exchange that intrigued me was: @adamlambert does it ever bother you that you sometimes have to share your personal thoughts with millions of people [through your music]? Adam: @jelena296 it's a great opportunity. Not a duty. I choose to. The girl asked in relation to the music, but, I read more into it. With all the angsting about Adam being inaccessible lately, and all the tweets begging him for more contact, could he also have been commenting on that as well? That communicating with the fans is not a duty. (Entitlement is not sexy, and those fans criticizing him for not doing his duty or holding up his end in the "relationship" are not going to make him feel obligated to tweet.) While it is a great opportunity to communicate with his fans, it is at his choosing. (Yup, he can be stubborn as well as generous. He is also controlling, and he will choose when and how to engage with fans.) Or am I attributing too much content to that tweet? In my humble opinion Adam's "It's not that deep' comes to mind..LOL

I've often wondered what it is about Adam that sucked me down the crazy stan rabbithole. Yes, the boy has amazing talent but other artists who were really talented never sucked me in like this. So I think the tipping point for me has to be Adam's character.... his kindness, generosity, fearlessness etc. I don't need to list them all for you, you guys know. I just really admire and respect how he lives his life. I know, by following his example I am a better person in my own life.

I prepare. I create. I love.
I think my favorite part of it is the "prepare"--it struck me immediately. It's so important to the creation. It's easy to think that a very talented person just sits down and spews wonderful art. Maybe some do. I just love that he acknowledges the hard work behind it. Of course, preparation applies to sports and other disciplines. Some people aspire to being a great "whatever" but don't put in the preparation. It's the preparation (practice) that can really liberate you to the next level.
I was impressed with Adam's prep thing after he sang Black or White on Idol. Ryan said it looked so easy, and Adam replied that it took a lot of rehearsing to get it that way. I just loved that he said that, and it was one of the most memorable things for me. It's something I should play back for my music students.

LOL - I don't have time for that rabbit hole today. I start watching one video on Lexie's channel and two hours later I am still watching. Each time is fresh.

IDK, I'm getting to the point where people invoking the "entitlement is not sexy" meme on any fan who expresses an opinion or desire for some communication or interaction is a tired as the Claymate meme and it sets my teeth on edge every bit as much.
There is a HUGE difference between making a respectful request, expressing to him that we miss him and making demands of him.
If you extend an invitation to an acquaintance and they can't make it because they're too busy, was the initial invitation a form of entitlement? IMO, it is not. Now if you extended an invitation with a, "You better come or I'll flounce" implication, yes, that is entitlement.

A few bits of thoughts......
1. I know I live in a bit of an Adam bubble -- but I really cannot find another celebrity who gets so many He's so nice" tweets". And then, because there are some many Adam fans who are nice and love when other people love him, the Tweeters got lots of respectful questions and agreement on Twitter that they keep talking about him.
2. Since Apollo Global has taken over CKX (19 Entertainment's parent Company) they are taking the company private and appear to be starting to restructure the company to increase profits. Part of that restructuring is to focus more on the main drivers of revenue and profits -- Elvis and Reality TV. It appears that they are getting out of active artist management -- and will assign some artists to XIX. Adam's management contract with 19M runs for 3 years, until June 2012. But Adam has been mostly managed by XIX since last October under Fuller's consulting agreement.
3. There is a rumor on Twitter that Adam was dropped by his international record label. Adam is signed to Sony/RCA, under a global contract. And he has not been dropped by Sony anywhere -- and who in their right mind drops an artist before they release a major album? This rumor seems to be connected to the management shift but twisted a bit.
