Gelly! Thanks for bringing those over! So what I get from this is, some guy that was in a session with Adam, registers this song "idea" and includes Adam's name so that he gets cred as being a writer with Adam. This guy may have even finished the song. I get it! I'll bet that guy will NEVER do a session with Adam EVAH!

Thanks Lulu2365
So can this guy @eddietellis post to ASCAP without the permission of the others? And can he name Adam as the singer? Doesn't ASCAP want the permission of anyone involved in a song? Did I understood this right? How does he expect for anyone to work with him again? ??? Is this a dirty business or what? ???

Wish me luck :-[.

I don't remember if this guy's name was on the ASCAP listing, but if the "idea" of Mind Control didn't come to fruition at the studio, but Adam, Alisan and whoever would want to pursue it further, would it be a problem since it's already been registered by this guy? Or would he have a claim to royalties? If so, can see why A. would be upset.
But I know nothing - just speculating...

Ok this whole song biz sounds fishy as hell and that dude sounds like a creep but this is exhibit A as to why I am not a fan of Alisan. I always had this weird vibe abt her, I mean that is when I actually thought abt her which was close to never but I digress. She is sooo drama llama. Gurl needs to chillax. Sometimes ya need to handle yo bidness in private instead of attention hoaring all over social media. YMMV.

There are many songs that have the same title. It sounds like maybe he was trying to get work by having what looked like a collab with Adam on his ASCAP directory. Seems like ASCAP would request an ACTUAL copy of the material before registering. Or maybe they will put the listing while waiting for delivery of the music/lyrics to have on file. Otherwise, how do they prove who has the rights to a song and who should be receiving royalties?

I think she wanted to clear it up with the fans since Alisan's name is also on there and she was getting tweets about it. I actually like that she "called out" this guy.
