Welp, they got me there .... Aaaand, I'm sorry, was there a downside? I know, pjd, it's crazy. I haven't heard much of the "controversy" regarding HP in several years. I thought maybe people finally backed down from it since it was ludicrous. (A word surely derived from Lucifer, I will freely admit ... ) There was a discussion on this on KRBE Houston last week. A listener felt that because the radio station promoted the Harry Potter movie, they were promoting Satanism. They had the listener on to present her point of view. The discussion went into biblical justification, wiccan, religion, etc. It was interesting. I am amazed at how many people forbid their kids to watch the Harry Potter films. It seems that many don't fell that people have the discernment to understand the difference between fantasy and real life. This would include members of my own family.

OT but... this discussion reminded me of an article in The Nation - about ALEC, a group of corporations and conservative legislators who have worked for years to draft and pass conservative legislation at the state and national levels. And since the last election, they have been pretty successful... www.thenation.com/article/161978/alec-exposed

Does anyone remember when the Proctor & Gamble logo was a moon and stars and was considered evil? Lots of boycotts...

I don't know when that conspiracy started, but I do remember that it was a topic of conversation during my college years as some of us were considering internships to P&G.

I fear them far more then some shadow organization that has been trying to take over for 300 years. Yet pure greed and manipulation by forces such as Rupert Murdoch (from the Latin Ruperius Mordecai ) are bringing this country (and largely, the world economy) to its knees. For what? Power. Bragging rights, maybe? That's all it amounts to in the grand scheme of things. When you have more money than you can ever possibly spend, what is the point of a decimal on a ledger that you will never even look at? *sigh,* but I digress. Love your post, Rihannasu, and I totally agree. People process emotions in different ways. You cannot change that anymore than you can change your eye color. (You can manage them, of course, but you still are usually going to experience them in the same way.) Alisan is very candid on Twitter and on her Tumblr. She does not hold back. It's her emotional makeup. And just because someone expresses their reactions with greater emphasis does not mean the original event was any less significant. She is expressing her reactions in the moment, right/wrong, good or bad, she is being honest and if she was going too far with it, then it's hers to deal with.

BTW, we say here that "Se on ihan hepreaa" (It's all Hebrew.) LOL, when meaning the same. I didn't get the Greek meaning until Gelly answered - I'm so dumb :-/. Can I blame the language barrier? Aww, bb.... you are NOT DUMB!!! There is not a single day that passes when I'm not totally amazed at how well all you "non-English-peeps" speak English! I'm astounded at how much you understand, how many idioms you're comfortable with, and how you all use complex sentence structures with such ease. You put most North Americans to shame, that's for sure!!! And, yes... we do use that expression "it's all Greek to me" when we don't understand something. And here in Canada, I also often hear "It's all Chinese to me". Yes...Soulmate...but why are “we” not also learning their language? Tit for Tat YES??? I do love "Rakastan" I use it in my daily life when I can. Isn't life wonderful in "Adam Land?"
