I would take the Forbes estimate as a yardstick that says Adam did well last year financially BUT do not take it literally. There are TOO MANY variables.
That said -- I think we can safely call Adam successful now. And that success did not just come from Idol guarantees but from relentless work and sheer talent!
But you know what -- I would like to see Adam stop being #2 and move up to #1!! Just saying!!

Yes, but three different spread sheets (yours, @sexynarwhal/ jristen's and @satanicfloret's, were done – all running to the extremely conservative side (heavy deductions were made for unknowns; then another chunk was taken off of that). Roughly $5 million was the figure all three came up with. Those did not include merchandising, M&Gs, fan club money, one-off fees and other variables we don't know. I think $6 million sounds quite logical. Also, even if the actual dollar amounts aren't accurate, Forbes is calculating them all the same, so the ranking will likely be the same.

Just saying!! my gut feel totally scientific prediction - in 2013 or 2014 he will be #1 - Adam#3 will do that for him, together with some other TV/movie/endorsement deals: FYE =break in adam#2 = confirmed success adam#3 = domination a la Gaga BTW: is twitterverse going crazy? I am going to run and check...

The list is always 100% accurate unless 2 things happen: 1) Your favorite isn't as high as you think he should be or 2) Your favorite is below an Idol you don't like! I'm sure the rationalization to other fans will be that "Adam's concerts must have had so much overhead because he had to pay dancers and he had scenery, etc." : ohh.. try this one.. he only sold 800K album and he hasn't done anything. So.. I think he got paid a lot for E! THS, Behind The Music, AMA, F1 condert..... darn.. to bad he didn't get that Dick Clark gig for New Years 2010 otherwise he probably would be at #1 and beat Carrie Underwood. :

My favorite comment from MJ's? CindyM: "That's a lot of medges!"

Watching Entertainment Tonight. They've just said that after ad will be Idols who are making the most money. I assume Adam will be on since the Forbes announcement (which I am reading at this moment) came out. DVR anyone? I can't.
