Happy birthday Nica. Hope you have a fantastic day! Kia ora e hoa - thanks CATZ - Ka mau te wehi e koe - you are awesome! Yes, my trip has sure been a long time in the making! It doesn't seem that long ago since our time in the dungeon eh! I wonder if that window is fixed yet? With only 6 sleeps to go, the trip is becoming very real. Finding it hard packing for summer when it's the middle of winter here! loL Don't know if binocolars are going to make it into my luggage for Adam watch but I will be keeping my eye out for all things Adam, you can be sure of that! Happy to share my itinerary with all you wonderful Atopians. Would love the chance to flail with other fans during the trip! Just hoping I don't annoy my travel buddy with all the Adam talk - she isn't a convert ... yet. My itinerary goes like this: 31st July - Arrive San Francisco 3rd Aug - San Diego 7th Aug - Los Angeles (Anaheim 1st 2 nights) 11th 23rd Aug - Contiki tour through to New Orleans 24th Aug - Washington DC 26th Aug - New York City 31st Aug - Cleveland, Ohio 2nd Sept - Toronto 5th Sept - Vancouver 7th-10th - 3 night Rockies tour, then back to Vancouver 12th Sept - Honolulu, Hawaii 16th Sept - Fly home I'll try posting a map too of where I'm going on my trip. It's not to scale or quite geographically correct but gives the general idea.

My husband and I went to the Idol concert last night. Now remember, the love of my life is Adam. No concert is ever special unless Adam is there. However, we had a good time. Some of the kids surprised me. The venue (Amway Center in Orlando) is beautiful. I want Adam to play there. It holds about 20,000 and all the seats are great. Naimi (sp) was wonderful. She really knows how to entertain. For some reason, out of all the girls they focused on Pia. Her face and voice are beautiful, but I still don't know Pia. I want her to sing with her whole body, heart and soul but she still seems like a blank slate on stage. She always looks like she is trying out for Miss America (no fire). Haley was an entirely different story. She does have fire and a lot of talent. I hope somebody can see that, and she becomes a star. I hate to say it but James had all 18,000 of us on our feet screaming, and he got the biggest hand. Stefano was the most improved and really showed his stuff. Casey, of course, was c-r-a-z-y and fun to watch. The rest were just mediocre. We left when Scottie came out because we wanted to be the first out of the garage. We had a 2-hour drive home. It was fun because we were sitting next to a lot of people our age. Of course, we had a lot of laughs. Seniors are hysterical and irreverent. We know how to enjoy ourselves in any situation. I missed Adam. No concert I have been to since Adam's can compare, and I always feel a little let down because the magic isn't there. This concert had to be better than last year's, but it will never be as good as it was when our Adam blew us away.

Ooooh I do like that pic! It is definitely waking me up ... when I actually should be heading for bed! He sure is rocking those trousers and jacket there. Looks like he could use someone to carry his bags for him though - maybe I should make an offer ;-)

??? Kinda creepy being the first post on a thread. ??? The promo clip guy says that the festival will feature Adam Lambert "pour les plus jeunes"/"for the younger people". Reminds me of Ed Sullivan introducing the Beatles and other groovy acts. There will be 12 minutes of pyro each night after the concert. So funny! Something for the kiddies. They might be surprised. Do they do their research when booking these acts?
