I can never understand people who don't watch Idol or don't like Idol saying they are glad it's over or hope it is not coming back! That'd be like me saying, "OMG! I am so happy Game of Thrones is over!" I don't watch Game of Thrones! TV has a wonderful on/off feature. One gets to watch what they like and ignore the rest! I guess I emotionally, and selfishly, want Adam to remain one of the most successful singing show contestants ever. More singing shows just means more singers churning through the machine of another show long after the genre has pretty much petered out. Kind of flooding the market, so to speak. Like I said in my previous post, fewer and fewer contestants from these shows seem to make it big anymore. The Voice is an example. I guess I'm just overly protective of Adam's status in the music world. I want it to keep rising and broadening in all directions. I know exposure is good, but I'd love for him to shine in other ways. Just my heart talking.

I would be very happy if someone came up with a new singing competition. I burned out on The Voice and have not watched for a year. If they bring back Idol, I will pass but have no objection to it. I just would prefer Adam not be involved in an Idol reboot -- but that is up to him. If I am going to have TV dreams for Adam, then I want him to have a late late night live chat show on cable -- so he can be crazy. And I want him to sing on every episode. O agree that Adam would be perfect hosting a late late night talk and entertainment show. He's so smart and funny and engaging. And yes, he could sing on every episode. He's got so much talent that hasn't been tapped yet. I hope it all gets discovered and USED!

Don't think anyone will do another anytime soon. I enjoyed, for the most part, the Xfactor AU format. It was too rushed but the mix of emphasis on both the talent and the judges was good, the inclusion of the mentoring and judge/talent interactions was entertaining. Sort of a blend of Idol and the Voice.

If we are talking wishes...I would like to see Adam in a small but dramatic part in a very successful Award contending film with a really good director. Not a comedy. Not singing. Something that really stretches him. I would prefer it to have no under or over currents of homosexuality...but if it was really good like Jared Leto's Trans character, that would be all right...but in truth, he would be better in that sort of part after proving himself in a smaller, less sexed part. I am not sure he feels comfortable taking that level of risk yet...but if not now, when? He needs a really A-list director with patience and kindness. Next best would be a recurring role in a really classy production like "This is Us". How awesome would that be? But a movie leaves plenty of time to tour on his own, and with Queen!! I Want it All....

Nice guy?!!? Has gotten into physical/frights with ex girl friend and brother. Edit add---sometimes google is not one's best friend. .... Eh, lots of couples have a few too many and wind up in a fight. Not good by any stretch of the imagination but depending on circumstances not always the end of the world either. the kids age is more of a puzzle to me, don't get the point of following a seventeen year old unless they actually know one another professionally.

Not going to lie. But I always enjoyed the meltdown whenever Adam was featured as one of successful Idols in their ads or was invited back to judge, mentor or perform. He did not win ya know. It never got old. When he was invited back for his last performance and then featured on the Idol Retrospective Show the anger was pure gold. I could not stop laughing. But it had been that way from the time he was on Idol until the show ended but some always still seemed surprised. So if they come back and show him every now and again or let him perform or mentor (you know they will) that will be fine with me. The Idol retrospective was so much more than I expected. Soooooo much Adam! I watch it a lot! and I havn't seen it all! It was geoblocked on the official site and only illegally available elsewhere ...or does anyone know where I can see it? Adam would be awesome hosting a talk show, but then again, what wouldn't he slay?!^^ I think a talk show format would bore him quite quickly...guest, singing acts, repeat...and I wouldn't make much sense to ditch the show after just one season...but as long as he sings in every episode I don't care what the format *lol* (judging, hosting...whatever) that's why I think the X-factor Australia was so perfect for him because it only had a ~3 month (?) commitment...opposed to 7-8 month

OT, but just read James Durbin is the new front man for Quiet Riot. Know nothing about the band and wasn't too fond of him (due to the things he said about Adam) but I guess this is the third Idol alum to front a legacy band. I think Adam is the only one though that already had and still has a successful solo career in addition.
