TommyJoe is now trending WorldWide and Sauli is not  things are pathetic to the point that we are actually talking about the shippers... give us another month of this - what are we going to talk about? Someone please explain shippers to me. "Shippers" are fans who root for (or "ship") a particular relationship. There are Adommy shippers who want or believe there is a romantic relationship between Adam and Tommy. I myself am reluctantly giving up on shipping Bradam (Adam and Brad "Cheeks" Bell) because I see how happy Adam seems with Sauli. I still love Cheeks, though, and hope he has someone who makes him smile! |

Someone please explain shippers to me. a shipper (or tinhatter as they call themselves over at ONTD_ai) is someone who, in their mind, creates a fantasy relationship between two fictional (usually) characters. The characters are often men and it centers around homoerotic fanfiction. Adam is shipped with everyone from Kris Allen to plants because he's just that damn sexy. Adommy was born out of Adam's comment that he likes PAE (pretty androgynous elves) and because Tommy lets Adam manhandle him on stage. Some people take it way beyond the fun that it's intended for and actually start to believe that the relationships are real. The saddest part of that is that the ones who seem to take it the most serious are old enough to know better IMO. I've been a shipper of Adam with Kris and with Tommy but neither were ever IMO real relationships and it's all in good fun. There are some amazing writers in the fandom and they write some really great stories but even they don't believe the relationship are real 99% of the time. Shipping also isn't unique to Adam or American Idol fandom in general. It's been around for a while and been the subject of many articles about it because it's mostly heterosexual females writing stories about two men romantically involved. |

Glammit! I went on a bike ride and picnic........... What did I miss????????????? I went to the beach, hung out with friends then brought them back to my place. I went into another room just to peek at what was going on here and the Sauli situation had me giggling enough that a someone came in to see if i was okay. How do you possibly explain that a one word tweet has everyone a-flutter which makes them say hysterical things which makes me laugh and embarrass myself. I gave my guests a fast drink and sent them home. I have more important things to catch up on. |
