Everyone has a different perspective. I thought that initially too, but have been engaged by the quality of writing. I'm a total rookie, but the characters (from what I've read) are completely fictitious, with a resemblance to the RL people. How far you go with that is of course a matter of personal taste. Like with any fiction, it depends on your own comfort level and how deftly it was handled by the author. Yes, I agree. I prefer the AU (alternative universe) fics where they share the same physical/emotional characteristic as the person in question but it's based on a story outside of reality. Like the Laws of Illyria... Adam is the king of Illyria and Tommy is a prince that he takes as revenge for Tommy's father raping Adam's mother and causing her to commit suicide. It's a very emotional story that is brilliantly written. The sex is incidental to the story (although admittedly HOT LOL) and even if the characters weren't based on Adam and Tommy it would be a fantastic story. That is what I base my opinion on regarding the qualify of the fiction... could this stand alone outside of my fandom of Adam? if the story wouldn't hold my attention without Adam's involvement then IMO it's not a very good story. It's the writing that's key (for me). Reading about sex doesn't make me squicky. It's the Kradam & Adommy sex that I find distasteful. Tommy's father raping Adam's mother? Even more yuk. Adam has changed a lot of things for me. If you would have asked me two years ago if I'd ever watch gay porn I would have looked at you like you had two heads. Well, that has changed. Kradam/Adommy almost seems like incest to me. I don't think I'm gonna change my mind on those.

And then, of course, there's this one, my favorite... JustKaren's avi!!! I remember I was so obsessed with all the pics from the IIHY video shoot, I turned into a bsc ninja sleuth, and tracked down the actual photographer. She wanted something like $500 per print.

I usually just lurk here, but I just had to answer Hoopla1's question about the black and white FS WLL. It was called Adam Lambert Karaoke Led Zeppelin INDIO. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zpitfrq-NEo. It was posted by TampaDarkMetal. I think that it was taped off of jumbotrons. I remembered it because I thought the title was laughable. Thanks to everyone who makes this site so informative and fun. VIRGO, WELCOME!!!!YOU HAVE TO KNOW HOW MUCH I LOVE THE FACT THAT YOU DE-LURKED WITH INFO I HAVE SPENT HOURS--HOURS I TELL YA--LOOKING FOR!! THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!! ETA: And Mika, come back and play for a while! Let's change the subject...hmmm, Adam liked Black Swan, I saw it this week, NoAngel saw it tonight--have you seen it? Like it? Good grief...I go away for a couple of days and the thread goes completely wild!! What on earth happened.....??? I haven't come close to going thru everything but ....wow....micbert....treebert...porn... I'm having a hot flash here...hehehe Re Black Swan....when the film was finished, I threw out my arms and howled to my friends I LOVED THAT!!! It is a layered, moving intelligent film and Natalie Portman is magnificent in it! I went to another amazing film last night that I have to recommend. It is nominated for an Academy award for best foreign film...from Canada. It is in French with English subtitles. The name is INCIENDE and if you get the opportunity to watch it you must. It is the story of a middle eastern woman's life and death...and the journey she sends her children on to find their father, and their older brother . It is slow and a bit disjointed at first and you think you are not going to enjoy it and then it grabs you and you cannot believe how it takes you over. My friend said it is the best film she has seen in years....the theatre sat in dead silence for the whole rendering of the silent credits. Extraordinary!!!

SEOULMATE, thank you for the pics!! I think I've lost my mind, though...I may be (mis)remembering one that doesn't even exist--it's like Justkaren's avi (foggy/smokey) only has Adam/friends silhouettes in it...I'm probably confused though. No matter, I'm right-click-saving this time! THANKS!

MZSUE, I liked Black Swan--a LOT--but thought it was directed with a bit of a heavy hand. Kind of tired right now, so not sure that makes sense...anyway, N Portman was brilliant in her role, I loved all the ballet scenes--especially the BLACK SWAN--incredible. Glad I saw it on the big screen--usually just rent movies. Will look for Inciende soon.
I have to call it a night now, though! Later!

Good Morning to everybody . I see you have set up a 10-page breakfast for me, thank you ggggg. But first to the real life and out with the dogs to another even more freezing cold morning. It seems to be a fabulously beautiful one again . (I just love weekend mornings without any time pressure <3 for getting somewhere in time, lazy mornings are my favourite ones <3.)
