"Girl Crush" definitely one of my favorites - so unexpected and his way with the words so sexy - especially "long blond hair." ETA - "Can't Live Without You" from Idol. (I think that's the name) The wail was so amazing! Sure got to Paula. "If I Can't Have You" is the correct title. Thanks marionm.

@pattihum don't know much about Grace Potter other than that Adam praised her last album...but I like to think of this german singer Sarah Connor as the female Adam Lambert...range, power, sexiness...if they did something together it would be FIRE!!! ...only once watched the ghost town performance from Rock in Rio with Queen and it didn't strike me then...I like it much better now after seeing it again... FanOfTheMan you mean "If I can't have you"? ...that strut in "feeling good" still KILLS me...I mean REALLY!!! (as Ryan sayed afterwards: Simon ain't using those stairs again ) I couldn't possibly choose a best of Adam live since he is SO divers and consistent...and I won't be posting the 200 videos in my Adam Lambert playlist on youtube^^ If I had the chance to show someone only ONE video of Adam I would pick the Iheartradio performance of "love kills"...it has a such a range of what Adam can do...the emotional range, the cresendo, decresendo...IMHO

like marionm said - almost an impossible task given the crazy consistency of his excellence! having said that - MY NUMBER ONE ALWAYS AND possibly FOREVER was so deservingly posted by adamrocks the first in today's thread - the glorious-orgasmic-unsurpassed WLL FS#1 ! so after a little bit of thinking I decided to choose from the performances that affected me personally: 1. WLL at the RMT - the atmosphere was off the hook, it was literally mind blowing, people fainted, my friend and I had to hold on to each other...never before and never after had I experienced that "high" at a concert ...THE ENERGY! the infamous grab, the camera lick, and being lucky to be close to the stage I've seen things if you are "new" - don't miss that concert, it was only 20 mins long short. www.youtube.com/watch?v=ubYXWn9Uwf82. momtomany wrote about it last night - the heartbreaking performance of OOL at St. Augathe - pure magic! www.youtube.com/watch?v=8oJRuaH5FJ03. this one got me helplessly hooked, had I missed that AI night my last 8 years of life would've probably been very different... the good old AI ROF www.youtube.com/watch?v=qgq6qHlNpIAp.s while I was writing ROF got posted by devilwoman so i'll leave it but will add a superb vocal of There I Said It from Japan - starts at 3:01 mark www.youtube.com/watch?v=BPTD2XYXuAU

Don't know if this will count, since it is a YT, but there is no video. I first stumbled upon this shortly after Idol, and it was shockingly, otherworldly good.... and he was just 22 years old. Why is this my favorite? How can I count the ways? Beautiful light, pure, yet rich, round tone. Artistic phrasing. Precise articulation. Emotional interpretation. Immaculate pitch and technique. Demonstration of impressive breath control. Flawless. www.youtube.com/watch?v=DJYyqzUr6jUI always love Adam's take on STL. It shows off his vocal ability with wonderful tone up and down his range, that ringing, beautiful head voice Eb5 on "someone TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" followed immediately by another pristine Eb5 in full-voice, (a note professional operatic tenors would sell their grandmother to hit at all, much less as well as he does multiple times each performance). He gives it a wonderful interpretation vocally and visually, emphasizing the meaning of the phrases. He moves all around the stage while singing (in fiercely high footwear) without it affecting his vocal production in the slightest. He shows his sense of humor and fun. He plays with the audience. The question is WHICH version? It used to be Toronto 1 from 2014. But, since then his voice has gotten even richer and fuller, he has learned to play with it more and knows where to milk the audience, and he totally owns it. My current favorite is QAL's last performance of 2016, in Bangkok. I have cued it up to right before STL, but the entire video is a keeper! It includes his talk with the audience about his love for Freddie (and for outrageous costumes). youtu.be/_0NFHGJHSPc?t=6m30sWWTLF HAS to be in the top three. The lyrics are poignant, especially considering Freddie sang it live when he already suspected or knew about his HIV status, and he was dead just 5 years later. Musically, its structure is much more complex than your typical pop or rock song, almost operatic. Vocally, it is challenging to sing well, requiring range and breath support for long, sustained phrases (or at least they are long and sustained when Adam sings them). Adam adds a few embellishments to the studio version that give it more emotional pop. This is Adam 's tour de force. No camp. No clowning around. No posing as a rock god. He just stands there and delivers a performance that wrenches my soul. I am afraid my choice will not "win" just because everyone has their favorite version. So many are SO GOOD. This one is my current favorite. He goes for many high D5s, and a couple of times actually goes on up to the E5 briefly. The tone on those notes is so clean, ringing, pure, and rich with harmonics. It makes me gasp. youtu.be/vKzEQ-QPsd0?list=PLLUOVdQ-in7gDoPphGRZCjXFjphGaNWVsIn case my choice of CTMBTM is disqualified bvecause there is no video, I will add the EMA performance that convinced the world that a Queen + Adam Lambert show would be great! Remember when Adam teased us that he would be at the event? We thought maybe he would introduce someone. Then, we thought he might be part of a multi-artist tribute to Queen. He was not announced as the singer either before or after the performance. He started singing backlit so that only Glamberts would recognize that silhouette and voice. He commanded the stage and powered out the very difficult TSMGO, and then punched out the signature WWRC/WATC. He shocked much of the pop/rock world, but we all knew he was THAT GOOD. He just proved it to the world. I could not find a complete version on YT, so I uploaded my saved version. It is unlisted to hopefully keep it up for as long as this contest goes, at least. youtu.be/dAuo2-VKuY8
