Rickey @rickey Again, thank you @adamlambert fans. You guys have been kind to me all these years #WelcomeToTheShow Rickey has been AWFUL to Adam over the years! WTF is he smoking today! What make him tweet that comment? He was beyond AWFUL to both Adam and Adam fans over the years. I really hope he hires an stylist, it is time to go back to the basics and real Rock Star style! I want to forget about the Asian tour and those horrendous outfits! I don't want to forget the QAL Asian Tour -- not even the outfits. This tour included some of QAL's best ever performances. Regarding Adam's costumes, I thought the hat was great and it was right on trend. And I love the long vest, bare arms. He will never make everyone happy and I do not think he wants to. Remember the copper outfit from 2014? That was criticized by one reviewer as looking like something Avril Lavigne. If you want to forget the tour, then there are plenty of other QAL and Adam tour photos and videos out there. Just pick what you like. He is like a box of chocolates. I like the excitement of all the different varieties, some people don't want to end up with the chocolate covered caramels. ETA: Plus we got Brian in a black lace top!!

Yeah. it doesn't matter whether he's hiring a stylist or not. Adam fans will always have something to say about his outfit. IMO, Fashion is PERSONAL preferences. Stage clothes are another part of his business and he works hard to get every aspect of his job right. For me, these are costumes not fashion.....and they are for public image and impression....for his career.....to help expand his fan base. And we know he wants to look gorgeous. That's probably why I want him to look gorgeous.... I'm pretty sure i'm not alone when i say that some of the last round of costumes were unflattering (and awkward) at best...and these are the ones he so proudly proclaimed as styled by himself! .....So yes, I'm thrilled that he has a stylist this time round. Can't wait to see!
Edit: oh no... just seen some doubt above..... still hoping for fantastic outfits.....

Being daring and divisive means that some will feel differently than others. I loved the lace outfit and loved the hat and generally love that Adam experiments. Others may not love it. That is part of NOT playing it safe. I think we should always remember that if we hate something there is probably others who love it. Harsh words to hear that some people want to forget the Asia tour, maybe it is just one person who wants to forget, I don't know. I loved the Asian tour and love when Adam is just being himself, even if there are sometimes where I don't get it. I don't have to get or love 100 % of what he does, I love what he tries to do, that he tries to radically be himself. And as long as he follows his inner muse, I think he will be fine. She or he seems to guide him well. As far as rock star look, I am somehow suspecting that he will go a bit less in that direction. In 2014 they focused a lot on the older rock Queen music, but this time, I think the focus will be on News of the World, and that is where the 70s are in full lift-off mode, and where a lot of Freddie's craziest outfits belong and I think those that are hoping for classic rock outfits are going to be a bit disappointed. I think that experimental Adam will be on full display. And that is hard to do right. So the fact that he hires a stylist to help him with this, is very understandable. He may be almost putting a team together. But I'd say, don't expect conservative. He is established as frontman now. This will be Adam's interpretation of what he sees in the Queen music he performs or as he said many times: What Freddie would have wanted to say? Whatever it is he comes up with: This is the tour to make this statement. It will be important to do this well, but putting a classic leather ensemble together is not what will make a statement for him, sorry. That would be going conservative, and I am pretty sure that would not have been Freddie's intention (just a wild guess). Wasn't 1977 the year of the harlequin outfit and the crab outfit? I think it is actually quite a challenge for Adam to figure out how to translate this into something that works for him, yet makes the statement he wants to make. www.youtube.com/watch?v=S5YPBzeSvq4This is the picture that came up for 1977. Just for reference. I actually don't envy Adam for his dilemma here, tbh. But I hope he has fun with it, and gets the tone and message just right.

In the immortal words of Iggy Azalea: "you weren't there, but I was" . I'm talking about the Asian tour and its outfits, coming to Adam's defense: I was there when Adam first appeared on stage with the mysterious detective overcoat (sleeveless though ), wide brimmed hat, and mysterious shades over another pair of shades. I was there the first time we were exposed to the lace top, and jaws were dropping! It was so daring and amazing and perfect! When I was a teenager, my bf was told by a classmate that I'd been there looking for him, and she told him I had a friend with me who looked like "a gay boxer". My bf knew right away who she meant . Well, Adam looked like a "gay boxer" - the contrast between his broad chest and shoulders and the delicacy of the lace was just right. No stylist could've done better, imo. And it was perfect for Queen. Plus, I don't know which other performer has the balls to wear that. Afterwards, I don't need to say anything farther about the fringed jeans and the way his butt looked in them, do I? And after that, after it's already been illustrated that he has a killer body, the last outfit was very fashion forward imo and interesting to the eye. Not everything has to be skin tight. Sometimes he wants to be a bit more sophisticated, and I think that's a good thing. I wasn't there, but ITA with your post as well. The Matrix Rabbi look with the mirrored visor was fabulous IMO. Sure, a different cut pant may have worked better, but you are so right about the juxtaposition of the lace top with his broad shoulders and chest. And the fringed jeans/sleeveless top/vest outfit...... perfection! Oooohhh...... and fuck off Rickey! OG's never forget. SMDH

To me following Adam and his choices are like taking an art appreciation course. And his costumes bring out different facets of his personality. Always fun to see what's next. He is extraordinarily talented on so many levels.
And I love craazyforadam's post.

I for one am just glad Adam is following his own fashion path and not mimicking Freddie's stage costumes... They worked for Freddie in that time frame, but just no to harlequin leotard sand cat suits. Not that I'll ever see them live and in person anyhow.

I am glad that Adam does not dress like Freddie. He is a different artist and not prone to copy. But I think it is okay to prefer some looks over others. I hated the lace and the big hat outfit and shorts were not my favorites. The lace might have worked on someone much thinner but I love Adam's build as it is. Loved the fringe outfit only from the Asian tour. But the earlier Queen tours were the best outfits to me. He looked hot and very rock star. I won't pretend to know which outfits are more Adam as he wore them all. But I do know the ones I liked the best and that is okay. Adam will not hear or listen to any of us anyway.

I think Adam has a very difficult balance to create when he selects his QAL Tour costumes -- he wants to remain a current pop artist and yet he is fronting a classic rock band in a very high profile role. I actually think in total, he has done a great job of not replicating Freddie, but honoring his flamboyance and abandon, while remaining 110% Adam. In any case, I am looking forward to seeing what he decides to wear this tour -- perhaps we will get silver and black? *** We all have our favorite and least favorite Adam outfits. My least favorite clothing items he has worn on stage are from Adam's solo concerts: Morongo concert (a great concert) 7/18/15 -- the light-up shirt. I do not think it ever reappeared. Freshtaval (not a great concert, not great sound, in the afternoon -- it was a relatively small crowd at a poorly promoted radio concert) 5/27/12 the spiky shorts. Not quite aqua boardshorts but pretty close. I do not believe these ever reappeared again. And, no, there are no spikes on the back. Here they are in motion.... www.youtube.com/watch?v=jXmeGnS1UWU
