Oh, that picture of Adam with the piano in the studio is getting me all excited ...can't wait for that new music well, I guess now we know why he was in in the San Fansico area...glad he enjoyed the musical... I think Hamilton was a side product of being in SF for whatever he was doing in Sonoma. No reason to be in Sonoma because of seeing a musical in SF. They are an hour apart and a longer drive with traffic, which is always. And if he wanted to go wine tasting, there are 100s of wineries closer to home. Plus, he gave us hints about Sonoma for some reason.

It seems my town is pulling in the second highest income for the QAL tour stops. The ticket prices especially for VIP etc were bumped to account for the 25-30% difference...but... Then I thought...to be accurate, I wonder if the Canadian dollar conversion was used/not used for those stops...ie Vancouver, Edmonton, Toronto, Montreal?

Hamilton is on my list of must-see shows. It's playing here in Chicago, probably for the next couple of years. Tickets are hard to get and very expensive. I can wait a while before I see it. It looks FABULOUS! Glad Adam was able to see it. Off topic, but I just read that TMZ reported that the "Idol comeback" idea apparently has been shelved, at least for now. If it never happens, I will be fine with that.

I mentioned the conversion rate accounting for the apparently 'higher prices' at Canadian venues but nobody seemed to agree...but a you can see, there is not much difference showing in that graph for CA prices therefore, either our prices are not higher than the US...or the CAD average prices are higher than that. Has to be one of the two.....I suspect the latter....

Has to be one of the two.....I suspect the latter.... The most expensive tickets are in Hollywood which is also the largest venue. Canadian tickets are the same prices as US tickets after accounting for the exchange rate. The prices on Platinum and Standard tickets vary by market demand -- so there are some deals in KC, Omaha, Texas, and a few other places -- and a few markets have had some seats moved up a price tier. Overall, it looks to me like the VIP prices were set too high everywhere but Hollywood. Here are the prices with USD conversion. The bolded prices are similar seats in multiple venues - upper level with a good view of stage. (Seats most of us would pass on.) Ticket Level |
