According to the guys on DDD Adam would only be able to sing the song in full key if he was doing a one-off concert because the final chorus is murder on the vocal cords. That being said he should still be able to sing it by lowing the key or changing the song around a bit so the only reason he doesn't (IMO) is he doesn't want to sing it. I'd still like to hear renditions of "A loaded Smile" "Pick U Up" "Master Plan" and "Time for Miracles". Yes, that last chorus is absolutely killer to sing. It is wicked high, sung with great power, and has lyrics (as opposed to other songs where he hits high power notes but with an open "ah" vowel sound, which is much easier to sing). He could drop the key --- probably by at least three notes in order to make that final section more singable. However, dropping the key by that much would change the mood of the piece and its power, IMO. He could also change the interpretation of the piece, singing those high notes with a very light head voice or falsetto (like one of the DDD guys did on his YT version of the song), but, again, that changes the power of the song significantly. I think one of the reasons it hits me so hard is because the lyrics are almost screamed out in pain. Softening the piece to sing it would lose much of its impact. I think even more to the point is.... would Adam want to put in the time to work with the band on this one song for a one off? Especially if it meant not just copying the song, but reworking it? It would be risky to add a new song for one performance. And, where would he put it? It is a driving song, but it is a downer. So, not as an encore, certainly. It would fit along with Sleepwalker, perhaps, in the first section. But, that would be duplicating the emotions of Sleepwalker, to a certain extent. I would love to hear Adam sing CLYG full out just once. But, I doubt we will hear it Friday. Sigh. |

Bit OT I just visited MJs and wow... just wow. I didn't know that Claymates Scotty fans were so interested in Adam that they use him as a marker of success lol. Props to EmyR for holding her off. PS My mention of Clay was not meant as an insult if there are fans of his here. Yeah that Scotty fan was going on and on, lol. She closed the thread and the clean up has resulted in the drop from 246 comments down to 170...(delete this post if it is inappropriate)...too bad I missed some fun there... I can't even imagine what can be said in terms of comparing Adam and Scotty, rather than they were on AI.... |

I should go look to see what she kept and what she got rid of, but I laughed because she closed it down just as the folks on the thread had pulled it back on track with pretty good humor. I've seen much worse. For the most part if was OT but not as ugly as I was expecting. |

Same here!!! Morning Everyone. Sooooo looking forward to the concet, even though i wont be there. I did just realize that i wont get to join in on the fun. We moved my birthday party to Friday from saturday. I cant wait to see video and pics tho. |
