ERM..Ok so I managed to listen to a few minutes of that Monte interview and...boy shouldn't sing. LOL. Don't want to be mean but....no. Play guitar. Do that. Not a big fan of his song writing either...not my cuppa. Kinda glad he isn't contributing songs to #2. Monte is a fantastic musician. I went to one of his gigs, last year, and didn't even stay for the whole show. I think he needs a frontmand or woman. His voice isn't great and he needs someone to play off of during the songs. |

Holy Sh...t! Watching Judge Mathis and the plaintiff was asked (by the judge) why he was wearing black nail polish and was it popular in the gay community. Plaintiff says...you know, like Adam Lambert. I nearly fell off my chair.

Well, kudos to him for following his dream, but yeah not my thing. Is it just me, or does he seem to have cooled down considerably on how he talks about Adam? Maybe it's my imagination. I totally agree. In the past he would have been almost gushing about what a great guy he was, great voice, etc.... I think that he hoped Adam would go more rock and I'm sure he is disappointed that he didn't get to contribute to his album. Monte needs to be a little more realistic about his abilities. His song writing and singing voice is no more than mediocre at best. His skill is guitar. But you can't fault him for at least trying to expand his options. But, he also needs to be realistic. |

In the past he would have been almost gushing about what a great guy he was, great voice, etc.... ya...I had the same impression, the interviewer was more excited about Adam than Monte... he also did not mention any possible future tour, although he did confirm being a part of "Adam's touring band"... That was a bit strange. Lots of gushing about Madonna though. If Madonna and Adam tour at the same time or close to, I wouldn't be surprised at all to see Monte choose Madonna. Just for salary alone, it makes sense. |

IIRC one of Lisa's rants had to do with this very topic... Agree, Buder. And he's keeping his options open about next tour--Adam or Madonna? With 4 little and one big mouth to feed he's probably hoping for both ;D I agree Monte's a fantastic guitar player. I bought his first album, and I couldn't hear much difference among all the songs and it was dark if not deep. His voice is not lyrical, IMHO. Adam spoils us with his ability to tell a story with his voice--and change up the same songs. To be fair, I'm sure Adam has had a lot more voice training than Monte, and Adam doesn't play guitar. Each is a virtuoso at what they do best. |

Ditto to what others are saying about Monte. It appears that the type of music Monte wants to create and the type of music Adam wants to create at this time are significantly different. While they can both appreciate the skills and talents the other has, it would be only natural if Monte felt a bit disappointed. We have all had friendships and relationships that, at one time, were extremely close, with similar interests and goals. Then, over time, those interests and goals changed and became less compatible. It can be difficult. Often, the friendship or the relationship shifts to something more casual... or even dissipates completely.
I hope that Monte and Adam can continue their friendship at a level that is comfortable for both. But, I see them going in different directions musically in the future.
