Dancey,Yes! I posted that at the very end of last night's thread. EMAs were Nov. 2011, Trespassing was May 2012 & first single for Trespassing was a month after the EMAs, December. Don't think the shit had hit the fan yet, with RCA. Adam had said, "He was honored" to be asked. He also said, his management called him and said, "Is this something you'd like to do?" I am pretty sure his management in 2011 was still 19. I think it was a last minute call too. My guess on how iHeart came about is that some promoters saw the buzz caused by the EU tour the previous year. I think iHeart was a kind of trial to see what the reception would be. I am just guessing though. It could have been a combination of a promoter and DMG, as Katy as headliner that year. But just guessing & don't think we will ever find out about that one! I am just happy it happened! I agree. Adam said this was how the EMA's came about. He would know. It was a surprise and an honor to be asked and he thought about it for a hot minute then said yes. He could have had the top song in the country and I think he would have still been honored to do it. That was a great platform for him and many good things followed with Queen.

Is it correct that 150 streams equals 1 song purchase? If my math is right, Ghost Town is platinum!

Is it correct that 150 streams equals 1 song purchase? If my math is right, Ghost Town is platinum! www.forbes.com/sites/hughmcintyre/2016/02/13/now-that-streaming-can-make-a-song-platinum-what-counts-and-what-doesnt/#5000865417efIn part: How Many Streams Does It Take? In the new structure, 150 streams of a song equals one paid download, and ten paid downloads equates to an album download. So, an artist’s music will have to be streamed on any of the approved, included services 1,500 times for an album “sale” to be counted. If, say, 1,500 people play Taylor Swift’s “Blank Space”, that will count as one sale of her album 1989. The RIAA is still going to be specific about which songs are featured on what records, so artists will continue to see certain albums being awarded.
