I love the irony of some around here, saying oh I hate reality shows, I don't want Adam on that. Well if it wasen't for Adam going on that horrible reality show. He woulden't exist, and this site would definately not exist. Adam and his fans owe that show everything. I have liked Idol more then the other singing shows. Being judge would give Adam huge cred. He would be on all the talk shows, prob on peoples choice mag again. Be a big boost for him. Prob not as much as 2013. His career is bright atm. But be a cool gig for him. Speculation of course. As always. I have often spoken silently to myself in my own private mind that I wish Adam had become famous in some other way than on a singing competition show. I know American Idol gave us the guy we love, but there is a stigma attached to those shows, plain and simple. Some AI alums carry the burden of that stigma more than others. I think if Adam had somehow gotten his "big break" in some other way, he would have gotten broader acceptance and respect from a wider audience. It would have been more acceptable to like him, IMO. He certainly has all the pre-requisites for being a star, but somehow the "fast-track" of a singing show doesn't sit well with some people. Adam has said on numerous occasions that Idol was a "short cut." Each time I heard him, I wanted to shout at him, "Don't say that!" It's the very thing some people don't like. It's perceived as "the cheater's road to fame" or something. I only watched Idol in Season 7 and Season 8. My sisters had been watching it and talking about it, so I joined in. After Adam, I just couldn't do it. I want this new Idol for him so that he will get media attention and further his career. If it's Carrie or anyone else on the judge's panel with him, I don't really care. He can hold his own with the best of them.

Not sure if we have this photo edit I LOVE this! It's beautiful. It's hared for an artist to "over-do" Adam's natural beauty. He is actually that beautiful in real life.

Let's keep in mind that JH and KC won't be judging during the same Voice season - one in the fall, the other in the spring - so no idea where Adam would even fit in. But I think Lyndsey is highly aware of it and knows it won't happen - she probably just wanted to stir things up a bit. My favorite part of the article: "Side note: Clarkson and Hudson’s Voice hiring may seem like the ultimate Idol burn, but in a weird way, it’s a compliment. After all, The Voice has not generated a single superstar worthy of being a panelist on any rival reality show."Excellent point! It's curious that after all these years of The Voice, they don't have ONE alum who they're looking at the be a panelist on their own show. The Voice has not produced one major star. On the other hand, right after Adam's season on Idol, he was very quickly asked if he was going to be a judge for the very next year. He was the first alum to be a mentor. And on and on. Can't figure out why The Voice has lasted as long as it has. but then again, we know that it's not about the contestants, is it? It's about the judges/mentors. I want Idol for Adam's benefit. Period. I watch the Voice , the record company is not interested in getting a star. The judges are the star of the show, not the contestants. Which is fine as long as you watch it with that in mind. I am not a country music fan but I think some of the country artists might have done alright on the country charts. Blake has taken some of them under his wing.

I think the big difference between Idol and The Voice is that Idol really was about finding a recording artist. That faded as the show progressed & around Season 10, it became about the judges and the TV show. The Voice has always been about the TV show and the judges.

Wonder if some press will ask Adam if he's interested if/when he's interviewed next.

If it's Carrie or anyone else on the judge's panel with him, I don't really care. He can hold his own with the best of them. Well look the problem with that reasoning is. Like Adam said, being "discovered" rarley happens these days. Unless you have some kinda following or a fanbase. IT is hard to break into the industry. Especially when your mid 20's guy with eyeliner. Convincing a stuffy Middle Aged Exe. Your the next big thing. Is hard. SO i diddn't see idol as a fast track to success. But a platform, to expose Adams once in a lifetime talent to a mass audience. Sam Smith made comments about Idol not being real artists. But these shows give alot of struggling artists a break. And I See no problem with that. And personally I would never change Adams story on idol. And I Would never change AMAS. Its all part of his story. He wouldent be the same without it.
