For those who don't know, Quebec DOES have a variety of specialty foods! Since its still early, I think we need to start with Poutine. Poutine (poo-teen) is called a "delicious but unrefined culinary offering" originating in Quebec. It isthe counter-intuitive combination of french fries, gravy and cheese curds. Quebec restaurants - even fine dining ones - will serve poutine topped with any manner of ingredients, from tomatoes to foie gras. Fast food places and diners serve poutine right across Canada, especially to late night revellers, but poutine is most common and is most reliably delicious in Quebec. Looks yummy, and it a good starter before the other stuff kicks in later on!! gocanada.about.com/od/montrealwheretoeat/tp/Quebec-Food.htm

Ooh, and I see tinafea also brought the cheeses!!
For those who don't know, one of the culinary thrills of visiting Quebec is apparently the chance to taste many of Quebec's artisan cheeses.
According to my sources, many Quebec cheese are not available outside of the province, as many of the producers are small-scale and do not export. Once known mostly for its cheddars and Trappist cheeses (Oka is popular across Canada), today there are hundreds of varieties, including raw-milk cheese aged less than 60 days, which aficionados claim to be more flavourful and healthful.
The Quebec Cheese Route totals 50 "cheeseries" in 14 regions where visitors can sample cheeses and even mingle with the goats, sheep and cows.

Unfortunately, I have to miss the concert (though I'm heading over to AMWs bright and early tomorrow morning for some, um, videography). But I didn't wanna miss this smashing party so I thought I'd make a fashionably early appearance. But which mask to wear? At first I thought maybe this one, because its soo girlish and pretty (just like me ;D : ): But then I spotted this one, and was sorely tempted, you know, to honor OH CANADA and her maple trees: But, you know how a little bit of glitter can distract me; this Damien Hirst mask just seemed soooo ADAM: But finally I settled on this mask, simply because I love it, and because to me it communicates all the various beautiful heartfelt emotions of sitting through the arc of an Adam concert (just wish I could get rid of the damn watermark): And may I just say, you all look lovely tonight nom nom nom *helps herself to the poutine* (gotta say--biggest Montreal culinary revelation? the bagels!)
