Btw, are you aware that Bon Jovi has a song with the exact same title: Outlaws of Love? youtu.be/txPPPI_clQ0I noticed that as well but the one I saw said it was unreleased. ETA - Did AFL actually say that was the title of the song or did peeps just name it for him? Perhaps it will be titled something else.

Tippy-toeing in and whispering, tentatively. Adam had some pitch issues in the concert. There, I've said it. I think it was a mistake to not have keyboards to fill in the sound. It left the backing instrumentals thin and incomplete. Especially when there was no backing track, like on PH. At other times, the backing track was almost inaudible on the YTs I watched. It is at these times, that Adam sometimes struggles to find the pitch (like at the beginning of Fever, before the instruments and backing track really kick in). Taking nothing away from the awesome performance, the killer improv, the joy he exuded. And, the new song..... perfection. Almost sounded a cappella. Exquisite. The voice at its best. No question. Just trying to keep it realz. [Slinking off to hide behind the sofa.]You are absolutely correct about everything. There is nothing wrong with keeping it real. Like you, we love him no matter what. Just keeping it real.

Especially with Fever I thought I heard that but because my ear is not musically so trained, I thought was just imagining things or it was a poor recording. Nevertheless, he sounded great! See Cassie.....every faction needs a leader....I was a bit concerned at the beginning of fever as he seemed to start a bit low and actually shifted up double at one point....which then was absolutely amazing There was another scary one but I forget which...often opening note were tentative....agreed...missed the keyboards..
ETA...just realized this would explain why no Soaked too.....

Popping in out of lurkdom for this extremely critical issue Did you notice, that the largest size of the boot is 44, which would be 10 1/2 US. Isn't Adam's shoe size 12? Wonder, if Rick Owens makes them tailored for him? After 3 pairs of these boots I would be surprised not only if they didn't (of course they did it from the 1st pair) but I think they should make a special Adam Lambert Rick Owens line. And I think Adam's shoe size is 11 1/2 Gelly- I am both amused and impressed that you know this.

that reminds me - this "We can't change" line was the only one bothering me in this song. Seems so "anti-Adam" to me in that it's so - IDK, hopeless and defeated? But then I guess, after some people didn't like him saying "who I CHOOSE to sleep with" in It Gets Better vid, because they felt he should acknowledge the "born this way" factor, - maybe this was his nod to that? Still. The song IS about pain and struggle for freedom and better world, but the tone of it doesn't feel hopeless, it's strong and full of love. And this line just - IDK, rubs me the wrong way each time I listen. ("We can't change" - like "we want to, but can't"? First, we CAN change anything we want to change, but second, why would we WANT to change who we love? I say, just tell anyone asking us to change that to GTFO, eh? ) It could be "the rain" that "we can't change" - possibly. But I don't really think so, primarily.
I'm glad you brought it up.
I almost immediately noticed and thought about that line, too.
My take FWIW:
I am nauseatingly "pc" - but Adam isn't. I don't see the line as being "hopeless and defeated" but I do think it refers to moments of feeling that way, of feeling exhausted with shit, and of having to overcome said shit too often.
I'd love to think of Adam as being "unscathed." But it isn't true. He's worked to be the self-assured, loved, succesful, secure man he is. It kills me more than a little to hear him sing about feelings of despair, which I think he is partly, but those feelings are as real too, I would think, as very righteous and utterly deserved feelings of pride and feelings of outrage (at injustice).
Anyway, I absolutely love how the song takes the hate head on, though - and how Adam's voice, talent, and everything else about him - just throws it down.

Somehow I picture this song with strings on the album. Violin, something like that, I don't know. I would die. Yeah I agree! Not intense orchestration liked Soaked, but something lush and tasteful would certainly do the trick. I also think if you listen to the guitar melody that Monte was playing, that it will play a big part in the song as the guitar did in WWFM, though different than WWFM, in the same vain as it! Also, I am surprised that this Outlaws of Love does not contain a bridge, as I really think that Adam excels in writing bridges.

The you tube download that I have at home has a download button under every video that I open. Does anyone recall this one?
