If you're on Web twitter, at the box at the top where it says What's happening? Click on the box and start typing. Try to put #scarsmakeuswhoweare in the middle of your sentence. Something like: We all feel the rain and #scarsmakeuswhoweare. The nights are getting colder. Colder. (Or something like that. It's going to be tricky not being able to mention Adam or the title of the song. I wonder if we can link to it?) I don't know much about the rules of Twitter, but I can't see why we shouldn't include a link to our favorite video of the song. When we can't use any Adam-related words or put in the title of the song, it seems to me that it's going to be too much of a mystery for anyone unfamiliar with what we're talking about. I'm going to put in a link. If anyone wants to add a link, it's a good idea to shorten it so you can stay under 140 characters! I use this site, which will change the longer link into a shorter one that still works: tinyurl.comI'm not sure why Adam related words can't be included. They probably won't trend, but they won't prevent other words or hashtags in the tweet from trending from my understanding reading a little about twitter trending. Also links should be fine. Otherwise unless it links or mentions the song and adam, there is no point to trending. Here's an article on twitter trending: www.dailybloggr.com/2010/03/how-to-make-a-trending-topic-on-twitter-and-how-not-to/Tips: a) words which have already trended or are commonly used are harder to trend because of the algorithm. b) repeating the same word or hashtag several times in a tweet can get it flagged as spam, also ending a tweet with a hashtag can do this. c) to avoid b) sandwich your word or hashtag within a tweet: "I have #outlawsoflove on constant replay" for example. d) choose a trending time strategically e) more tweeters dispersed over an area are much more important than few tweeters tweeting the same thing over and over. _________________ also outstanding questions: is it easier to trend without a hashtag (at least in the us)? can you trend something that is also a twitter username?

I loved when he said in that interview that the album will be more serious in nature even the up-beat songs will be very real, authentic, and honest at the core...not frivolous empty pop songs!! Yay!! Those words are music to my ears!!

Adam Lambert Joins 'Majors and Minors' Judge PanelAugust 1st, 2011 12:51 PM by Cheesus Adam Lambert is putting his sweet, encouraging persona to good use as the latest pop star to join the show Majors and Minors as a mentor for young aspiring singers. The show follows 12 young singers who are competing for an RCA/Jive recording contract--but unlike most (um, maybe all?) musical competition reality shows, no contestants will be voted off each week. Instead, each of the contestants will be mentored for fifteen weeks, and the winner will be named during the finale. Avril Lavigne, Sean Kingston, Brandy, Leona Lewis, and Ryan Tedder will also serve as mentors on the show. From the list of people who have already signed on, the Glambert sounds like one of the better options. I mean, who out of the bunch would you rather have as your BFF? I know my choice! .... On the Twitter Tread site -- it is not a good idea the way they did it. It just creates a central place on Twitter for the identification of planned trends which Twitter now works to eliminate because they want to sell promotional trends.
The general idea makes sense -- just the execution needs to be planned, If someone wants to organize Twitter Trends -- I would make two suggestions:
1. Move the planning home off of public Twitter.
2. Make sure the hashtags and accompanying tweets follow the Twitter trending rules. For example, quoting the song lyrics would be a mistake because that will make many Tweets look like commercial spam. (same phrase repeated)
