I'l bet if they had asked him about someone else, Nikka or Rihanna, for instance, he would have spoken paragraphs. About himself, not so much. In this interview from April 2010 at the 7:35 mark is where Adam says He hates singers who brag about their voice. Okay, that ranks in the "top 10" answers Adam has ever done in an interview. The past couple of days the DDD forum has been again discussing Adam's range. I got sucked in for a bit, talking about usable range and quality of sound, only to get smacked down. If I was bolder, I would post that YT and reference the 7:35 mark. But, I'm too old/wise/pissed off/apathetic/chicken to do so.

I loved when he said in that interview that the album will be more serious in nature even the up-beat songs will be very real, authentic, and honest at the core...not frivolous empty pop songs!! Yay!! Those words are music to my ears!! Clarification? ETA: frivolous, empty, pop songs, right?

OOL is picking up momentum -- and starting to spread faster. Beautiful!! Went to YT and searched for Adam Lambert Outlaws of Love. Filtered for this week only. Listed them according to view count. Total of 81 were listed. Totaling up the counts for only those with over 1000 views, the song has had 145,130 views in less than three days. (I know those counts are not terribly accurate, but they are all I had to work with. Still looks mighty fine.)

First of all: Happy Birthday amw! Have a most special day and keep on dancing! Cassie, your post is wonderful and thanks also for correcting those lower end ranges. Yup, those Aftermath's are C3#s, they may be thin, but they are there, consistently. That is a key lower than what I had shown. And the 'Crazy' version with the low keys is this one: www.youtube.com/watch?v=VnWdjfJluSg. Know it well, it's the one that gave me my user name Craazy...a long time back, lol. Your concert report momtomany is so great and allows us all to re-live it with you. I loved it. Rihannsu, this article is a wonderful find, talk about desperation pure: What on earth can he write about that anybody wants to read, oh let's see, Trebmal Mada, that will get him hits? Perhaps Twitter will let us trend that, if we cannot trend Adam Lambert? Thanks Q3 for your post about this trending account. I was thinking the same, why have a twitter account where we openly discuss our strategies on what we are trying to trend, talk about shooting ourselves in the leg or handing our game plans to twitter themselves. They just have to follow this account and they know exactly what to disallow. I did not follow them. By the way, perhaps we could get something going that uses the abbreviation OOL. It's in so many words that all Adam fans will recognize: schOOLing, fOOLing, cOOLing...and also drOOLing, pOOLing, tOOLing... I just have not yet figured out how to turn that into a good tweet that will make people go look up OOL. Perhaps somebody else has a good idea. some ideas for trending: #whyoutlawlove? or #loveoutlaw or #don'toutlawlove

What is your biggest fear? Adam: For a while there, it was that I would… I would get to the end of my life as an older man and I’d be alone. That was very scary to me. I would just like to say a big "Thank you" to Sauli. It sounds serious, doesn't it? Between that quote and the look on his face when he said he was inspired by love, he has filled my sweetness cup to overflowing. Mys*&@^#r- I thought they were serious as soon as it became clear that Sauli was moving here (because that is NOT something most people would do for a casual relationship), but that comment takes me someplace even more serious than serious. I really want him to get everything he wants in life, and I'm really thrilled for him that he thinks he's getting it. Me too. That is a serious step. My son found himself in a similar situation with a girl from Denmark, coincidentally same timescale as Sauli and Adam. She is a music journalist. She came here twice for extended visits; he went there once. She applied for a visa like Sauli's, but when push came to shove, it was too much for my son to ask her to give up her whole life there and relocate into his when he wasn't really sure enough about the relationship. I don't think Adam would take the responsibility of Sauli moving here and relocating his life any less seriously. If he didn't love him, it would be too much pressure. I'm glad Adam is in such a good place right now with Sauli as he deals with all the stress of a new album coming out.

I don't think he was talking about his songs. He's always said he loves the songs on his FYE album. I think he means some of the pop stuff that's out there now...and since I don't listen much to radio....I can't give you any example! Just take your pick of a real auto-toned, cookie cutter, repetitive beat song on the radio Top 40 chart and you'll have it! j/k (well....sort of) ;D Um, I nominate the poignant, angst-ridden, tween anthem "I Whip My Hair". The chorus goes: (chorus) I whip my hair back and forth I whip my hair back and forth (just whip it) I whip my hair back and forth I whip my hair back and forth (whip it real good) I whip my hair back and forth I whip my hair back and forth I whip my hair back and forth I whip my hair back and forth Runner up goes to "Baby" by Justin Bieber. The chorus goes: And I was like baby, baby, baby, oh Like baby, baby, baby, no Like baby, baby, baby, oh I thought you'd always be mine, mine Baby, baby, baby, oh Like baby, baby, baby, no Like baby, baby, baby, oh I thought you'd always be mine, mine Poetry. Just beautiful. *applause* These are the kind of lyrics that really make you think (make you think why the fuck have I ever bothered to string a coherent sentence together ...) : : : And I can't imagine why the industry has taken such a hit on the credibility scale and why rock radio rarely plays anything from the last decade. I truly hope people stand up and take notice that Adam can write a great, catchy song, with clever (or evocative and thoughtful) lyrics, and have it be beautifully performed. He's got a tall order in front of him, but wow, it really seems like he's confident he has risen to the challenge.

Was thinking this last night listening to lyrics of some song by some body on KISS FM: Blah blah blah blah blah blah barbie Working at the Arby's I look like Madonna But < something that sounded like floss, ) like Ivanna Seriously, I was thinking it would actually be a challenge to think up lyrics as bad as the ones in some of the top 40 songs right now. Scary.
