I thought his voice sounded pretty good on my stream. Only thing I noticed was his breathing. It was like he had been running. It must be hard with the heat and dry air. The three streams were not as stellar as two of the many off and on again periscopes. Mind you with some periscopes I turned the volume off and listened to a stream ...usually sandys. Gosh---in general I thought he was great tonight in that he was attempting all sorts of variations, maybe cutting some notes shorter than usual -- but only those listening to every concert would even think of that. At other times I thought he embellished even more. I could even understand all the words in Two Fux: the sound was was clear as a bell! But if some of you thought he was pushing it a bit, I am no expert. If that was the case then I am glad he did not sing the extra song to keep his voice in form for tomorrow. He was not happy with his mic at times with the feedback zinging...forcing him to move--like purposefully walk-- to a different spot. This was tough technically tonight when they have rehearsed for arenas. As I mentioned at the start of the concert, the big screens did not even kick in until several songs had been sung. I am sure they will work on the glitches. I really enjoyed the close up periscopes tonight...many thanks to those who found the links ...and of course to the periscopers.

I think you might be right about the mic. Maybe what I heard at the end was the lack of any type of echo to his voice. I'm not saying his voice is enhanced but usually there is a little more fullness that the mic provides and the end sounded pretty much like a "dry feed". Like a piano without the sustain pedal. I know I'm not explaining it right.
