I don't mean to sound contrite. I understand the significance of being a role model. It was the article itself. The majority of it focused on his gayness and not his music and other struggles. Guess I thought news articles would go beyond. guess I'm asking too much. It just touches a nerve with me. I saved this article especially for the openly gay description, comment and Ed response Syndney Star Observer: Lambert Premieres New 'Personal' Trackwww.starobserver.com.au/celebrity-2/2011/08/01/lambert-premieres-new-personal-track/58142Thanks, I've seen a handful of vehement Adam fans in the last few days berating editors/writers in the comments sections about including "openly gay" in their descriptions of Adam. Most of the time these are gay and lesbian publications, and it's a form of community ownership and pride in his success story. It's a good thing (yay! gay! lol...), and it's the very reason they are covering him in the first place, as well as other lgbt public figures. I think one of the Autostraddle editors made a comment about this to a Adam fan once too, because unfortunately these comments can come across as at best clueless, and at worst... I wish Adam fans tired of the "yay! gay!" would let it rest themselves in the comments sections, and also consider that in most cases it is intended as a celebration, not a marginalization.

Please, please, PLEASE, tell me that someone is going to rip the Behind the Music so that we here in the VH1-forsaken country can se it too! Pretty pretty please... (do we have a begging smiley somewhere?) Believe me, no begging required in this fandom. I think we'll be drowning in YT vids of the first half of the show before the second half is done airing

This is kinda OT but something I have been wondering about the new album. Single wise at least, do we think Adam will have to stick with songs that don't have the "he" pronoun or lyrics that imply that he loves, was shaking his booty with on the dance floor, was kissing, or anything else with another dude? Basically I am asking if we think he will have to neuter himself and/or be extremely conscious of every lyric in order to get airplay? I always wonder if Fever would have been a single if not for the "he" pronoun issue. It's sad it's even an issue but still.... I obvs would not want him to censor himself, it's not fair and it kills creativity, but I also don't want radio to not play him because of something so stupid, esp if it's a song that could be massive. ETA: Look at what happened with FYE. Yes it was right after the AMA debacle, but I still don't think radio would have been receptive to a song with s&m themes coming from a gay man, even if the song was a decent first single which iI think it was. (Now a song CALLED S&M from a chick is a different story! lol) Thoughts? My guess, and purely a gut feeling ... he'll keep it universal by not using pronouns or attributions at all. He'll opt for "baby" or "you" or "my love," or "we," as he uses in OOL. Adam has his eyes very much on the commercial viability and I think he kept the He in "Fever" a little bit as a protest and a little bit as deference to Gaga's writing. Since he is writing the songs now, I think he'll table the issue as unnecessary because those things can rather easily be written around for universality. I don't know, I'm wondering about this tweet: jeremygillam Jeremy Gillam @itsbennyblanco @claudekelly Is @adamlambert doing that No Boys Allowed tune?? 18 hours ago from someone who works with Benny Blanco. We can't extrapolate from a possible song title, but even if Adam does dodge pronouns, more personal and revealing music by it's very nature seems like it would be somewhat specific about Adam's own thoughts/feelings/experiences. I really don't know what to expect, but I know I can't wait for it!!!!!!

Awww, I hope you get to hear more on the actual show! Now that is a nice thought! Two lines of this song were changed--I think in the '90s sometime--I much prefer the original. But since I'm way OT on this, and it's all about ME at this point, I will move along. Carry on! (Yay! Project Runway tonight!) Thank you very much for identifying the song. It's all related to Adam through the song... Tell us more. Please?

I am so thrilled to hear him sing as a boy. I've been so wondering what he sounded like. I hope they show more of him singing with his unchanged voice.

It would def include that whole drawing on your personal experiences stuff.

Wow! That was really brave of Adele. I would have never interpreted the song that way, but... wow! It is interesting, but not Adele's official video, it seems to be by a film student (hai alma mater!)
