OTT, but since when did Russell Crowe become a singer? I think I heard he was (went to google him) and yes.. He was or is a musician in NZ before he got an acting role in 1986. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russell_Crowe tytheflyjedi Tyler Pride by russellcrowe @ @russellcrowe Great album! The shape of his chest influences his sound, without a doubt. This is mainly as a resonator. Take Monte's electric guitar. If you pluck a string with it unplugged you get a very soft, flat tone. Kinda a "plink." That is because there is no air cavity to capture and enhance the sound vibrations. The acoustic guitar has a hollow body construction, and you can hear a richer, fuller sound. Even when he uses an amplifier to run the sound thru a speaker in concert, the tone of the acoustic is much more mellow than the electric. Now, consider the acoustic bass guitar that Tommy used a couple of times .... maybe in "Unplugged." It looked just like a guitar, but it had a rather ginormous body. That body allowed the bass frequencies enough room to roll around and sound rich and full. If you put bass guitar strings on a regular acoustic guitar, it would sound dull and plunky without that extra space. Adam's tenor voice is the result of the shape and length of his vocal cords. But the richness of it, the fullness of it comes from the large chest resonance. The brightness and lightness of it comes from the head resonance. He has some wonderful body cavities for singing. (Don't even go there with whatever else you were thinking!) Does it allow for better, fuller breathing? I don't know if his lungs are actually bigger than the norm, tho I would not be surprised. But, it does allow for strong, large muscles that control the breathing. Just another tool in his arsenal. He still has to know how to use all that resonance and breath. And THAT is where he excels. Cassie, I know everyone has moved on but I have a question about Adams chest. If he had not started singing when he was young but had played sports and lifted wieghts, do you think he would have developed a barrel chest and be able to sing as well as he does? Yeah, it's kinda the chicken vs. the egg question, isn't it? I haven't studied enough about singers' anatomy to have the answer. But, I think that skeletal body types are mostly genetic. They can be influenced by disease or hormone imbalance, but I don't think they can be by certain practices or exercises. So, I think that barrel chest is just something Adam was born with, just as the head/sinus/skull resonance is. However, developing the strong muscles to control the breathing is definitely by choice, not chance. That's my best guess.

I don't mean to sound contrite. I understand the significance of being a role model. It was the article itself. The majority of it focused on his gayness and not his music and other struggles. Guess I thought news articles would go beyond. guess I'm asking too much. It just touches a nerve with me. I saved this article especially for the openly gay description, comment and Ed response Syndney Star Observer: Lambert Premieres New 'Personal' Trackwww.starobserver.com.au/celebrity-2/2011/08/01/lambert-premieres-new-personal-track/58142i don't agree with the Ed comment and we know Adam is tired with the "openly gay" words before his name whether it's a gay website or not.

Guest judge on PR this tonight is designer Stacy Bendet, next week's guest judge is Kim Kardashian according to TV Guide listings on line. They only go two weeks out. We will have to wait until 8/25 for a possible Adam guest spot on the show. I really hope Adam is later in the PR season. There are so many designers right now and we're just getting to know them. The guest judges kind of get lost in the mix, IMO. I hope he gets to judge when they are down to a handful of contestants. If they get to design something for him, I will die! I'm really excited about this guest spot! PR is one of the few reality shows I always watch. Is PR filmed in the past like Raja's drag queen show was? Otherwise why would Adam already have done a taping?

OK, which one of you wrote this? @idolator idolator dot com .@adamlambert discusses his sexuality for the umpteenth time in his 'Behind The Music' preview. That's a GOOD thing tiny.cc/z77hs "And, sure, it might seem trite or done-to-death for the Season 8 Idol runner-up to discuss the trials and tribulations of being closeted as a teen. But let us just jump up on a soapbox for a brief moment to remind everyone that this is a struggle for millions of kids on a daily basis. And to hear someone like Adam Lambert relay his own coming-of-age story in this manner lets those individuals know that things can, indeed, turn out alright. (In addition to being a successful recording artist, Lambert is in a seemingly happy, committed relationship.) So bravo, Adam. We know you’re probably tired of telling the story. But we guarantee that there are many out there who are always eager to listen.idolator.com/5963051/adam-lambert-vh1-behind-the-music-previewSorry I just started reading the thread so.. looks like I'm spamming now.. but just want to say I like the bold part. And he's so gorgeous in here. Seriouls yet still very handsome
